"What are you doing here?" I ask in shock as Liam runs into his fathers arms.
"I've been sent home!" He says flashing my his pearly whites.
He walks over carrying Liam and kisses me.
"We've missed you," I say between kisses. "It's good to have you back." I say as I kiss him one last time.
"How's my baby girl been?" Deeks asks as he admires Iris sleeping in her stroller. "And how's my little man been doing?" Deeks says as kneels to Liam's height and rubs his head.
"Mommy's missed Daddy." Liam says before giving Deeks a hug.
"Did you not miss me buddy?" Deeks says with a loud laugh.
Liam hugs Deeks tighter.
"I missed you a lot!"
Deeks smiles.
"How about we go inside and I'll make you a snack, and you can show dad all your beautiful artwork!" I say with a smile.
Liam grabs Deeks' hand and they run up to the porch. I toss Deeks the keys and they run inside.
I push Iris back into the house and close the door behind me.
"Hey buddy!!" Deeks says as Monty licks Deeks profusely.
"I could have picked you up if I knew you were coming, babe! I would have had something special planned..."
Deeks cuts me off with another kiss.
"Seeing you and the kids again is very special, Kens. I couldn't ask for anything more."
I smile and carefully take Iris out of the stroller and hand her to Deeks.
"She's gotten so big since I've last seen her!" Deeks says as tears begin to fall down his face.
"She's beautiful. She gets it from her mom." He says with a smile looking up at me.
I feel myself start to blush.
"Mommy! Where are the fishy crackers?" Liam yells from the kitchen.
"I'm coming!" I yell back.
Deeks follows me into the kitchen and I see Liam sitting patiently at the table.
"Thank you for waiting, sweetie. You can have a few crackers, because we're going to be eating lunch shortly, ok?"
"Ok!" Liam says as he grabs a small container from the drawer.
I grab the crackers out of the cupboard and pour them into the container.
"Thank you, mommy!" Liam says as he sits back down at the table.
I glance over into the living room and see Deeks rocking Iris in the rocking chair.
I smile.
After a few minutes, Deeks stands up from the chair and hands me Iris.
He walks over to Liam and sits in the chair opposite him.
"What have you been up to, heh? I've really missed you!" Deeks says as rubs Liam's head, this time messing up his hair.
"Mommys been teaching me how to draw! And she's also taught me some really cool songs! And I played dress up with Monty and Socks, mommy has pictures on her phone!" Liam says really fast.
"Sounds like you and mom had fun!" Deeks responds.
"Can we have some fun? I want to go swimming!" He yells.
