I walk through the front door of our house and hear Monty run from the kitchen.
"Hey buddy." I say as I bend over to pet him.
Monty starts to whimper as he sniffs around for Deeks.
"Daddy's gone, Monty. I'm afraid he won't be coming back for a while." I say as I stand up and put my coat in the closet.
I walk into the kitchen and scoop out dog kibble for Monty and place it in his bowl.
"Here you go, Monty."
I walk to the fridge and pull out a left over piece of pizza from last nights dinner. I take a bite and walk over to the book shelf, and pull out a DVD labelled "Wedding Day." I smile as I remember that say like it was yesterday.
"You look beautiful, Kens." Callen said as he walked through the door.
I blushed, "thank you."
I walked to the mirror and adjusted my veil.
"I'm so nervous Callen!! What if I fall, or trip. What if I drop the ring?" I panicked.
Callen walked over to me and gave me a big hug.
"You'll be fine, Kensi. Deeks will love you no matter what happens. It's all about you and him. That's it." He said as he kissed me on the cheek.
"Here's your flowers!!" Nell yelled as she ran through the doors.
She was holding the most beautiful bouquet of pink and white tiger lilies.
"Ah, Deeks remembered my favourite flower!!" I said as I took the bouquet from Nell.
The sound of the organ within the church sounded, cuing my entrance.
Callen took my arm, and waited to walk me down the aisle.
The bridesmaid went first, then the music started to play a different tune. I could hear everyone get out of their seats.
Callen and I started to walk. As I walked through the doors, I saw Deeks standing with his arms in front. He was rocking back and forth on his heels, he was nervous I could tell.
Callen handed me off to Deeks, and the ceremony had begun.
"Dearly beloved. We are gathered here to join this and man, and this woman in holy matrimony."
"Marty Andrew Deeks, do you take Kensi Marie Blye to be your lawful wedded wife through sickness and in health?"
"I do." Deeks responded as he never broke eye contact. He never stopped smiling.
"Do you, Kensi Marie Blye, take Marty Andrew Deeks to be you're lawful wedded husband through sickness and in health?"
"I do." I said as tears of joy filled my eyes.
"The rings please."
On cue, Monty came running down the aisle bearing the rings on his collar.
Deeks bends down and grabs the rings. He hands one to me and starts to talk.
"With this ring I thee wed." He said as he slipped the wedding band on my finger.
"With this ring, I thee wed." I said and slipped the ring on Deeks' finger.
"With the power vested in me, and through the State of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may now kiss the bride."
Deeks did just that. He kissed me with all the passion he had in him. I kissed him back and I never wanted to stop. I couldn't hear the people clapping and cheering for us. This was just a moment to spend between just Deeks and I.
I never wanted this moment to end.
~~~~~~~~~~~~"I love you, Marty." I say aloud. Monty comes running as he hears his dads name.
"We'll get through this, Monty. Just you and I."
The Next Day"Thank you for meeting with me, Callen." I say as I take a sip out of my water.
"It's the least I can do, Kensi. I can't imagine what you're going through."
"I couldn't sleep last night. Whenever I close my eyes, all I could see was him."
Callen reaches for my hand across the table and squeezes it.
"We'll get through this Kensi. We always do."
