Hey! I'm so sorry it has taken me this long to update this story! I've had writers block and I think I've come up with a good story line :) Here's a long chapter...enjoy! <3

"Are you there?" I type waiting for Deeks' response.

"Did you hear? The groundhog saw its shadow. There will be two more weeks of winter."

While waiting for Deeks' response, I hear Iris start to cry upstairs.

I close the lid to my laptop and quietly walk upstairs to the nursery.

"He baby girl," I say as I pick up Iris. "Shh, mommy is here." I say rocking her back and forth.

I decide to quickly change her diaper and give her a bottle of milk before placing her back in her cot.

"Mommy?" I hear Liam yell from across the hall.

"Yes honey?" I ask as I walk into his room.

"Me not tired!" He says as he starts to kick off his blankets.

"Do you want to come downstairs and watch some TV?" I ask.

Liam shoots out of bed nodding his head.

I smile and laugh as I pick him up and carry him downstairs.

I place him on the couch and grab the remote off the coffee table.

"What show do you want to watch?" I ask as I start to flip through the channels.

"How about we watch Handy Manny?" I ask as I click the Disney channel.

"Dadda!" Liam yells out as he points to a guy that resembles Deeks.

I laugh and grab my laptop off the coffee table and set in on my lap.

There is one new message from Deeks.

"Two more weeks of Winter? That darn groundhog always sees his shadow. It's LA, we never get winter ;)"

I laugh at Deeks' response.

"I miss you <3" I type.

"I miss you too, Kens. How are the kids doing?"

"They are doing amazing! Liam asks about you everyday, and Iris is doing really well."

"I wish I could be there for you, Kens. I love you to the moon and back!"

"And do I, love you to the moon and back."" I click send.

"I gotta go babe, I'll talk to you as soon as I can!"

I close the lid to my laptop and look over to see Liam fast asleep on the couch.

I turn off the TV and carefully pick him up off the couch.

I turn off all the lights and start waking up the stairs.

I walk into Liam's room and place him back into bed.

I tuck him under the blankets and I kiss his forehead and walk into the master bedroom.

I head into the bathroom and begin to brush my teeth. Then I quickly brush and braid my hair before I change into my pyjamas. I crawl into bed and I dream of Deeks' return all night.

I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing.

"Hello?" I ask with sleep still clinging to my voice.
