"And you know that they went pale like a ghost when the lizard started moving" Amelia exclaimed laughing hysterically curled up in a blanket. She was sitting with her uncle in his quarters having evening tea, talking about the things she ascertained in the trip.
" Crabbe and Goyle have been this useless since first year". Snape said shaking his head in disappointment on the students of his house.
"Thats why they agreed to be Draco's goons" Amelia said rolling her eyes with a smile.
"Malfoy is just the same as his father was in his hogwarts years" Snape said reminiscing the time.
" Were you in the same year with him" Amelia asked watching Sev reminiscing his time at school.
" Yes, He was a bully and his son takes after him, although both of them had good academic background" Sev said sounding impressed on the last part.
" And you, were you a top student?" Amelia asked rasing her eyebrow.
" Yes, I always was in the top 5" he replied sipping his tea.
"Did you prank or bully or something like that?" Amelia asked wiggling her eyebrows.
" No, i was serious towards my studies unlike you" He replied with a smirk.
"Means you had no life at school" Amelia said shaking her head.
"Focussing on studies is far better than setting the dorm on fire and getting expelled " He said mocking her.
" Oh will you ever let that go" Amelia said groaning.
"Even your grandkids will know" he said with a smirk, it was a happy smirk, Amelia smiled to herself, once in a year or two she gets this type of time with her uncle.
"Oh god dont go that far, if they will know this then they will also know that you are the grumpiest man alive" Amelia said with a challenging smirk.
" Ironic being the one who when woken up before 7 curses every existant thing calls me grumpy" Her uncle said rolling his eyes.
" Oh please i maybe a little bit grumpy in early morning but you are so intimidating that you are a boggart of student, Seriously Sev get a life" Amelia said shaking her head.
" What do you want me to do to get a life?" He asked uninterested.
" I dont know Sev maybe wear some colorful clothes, go on a date or something, ask a few hot british chicks out" Amelia answered surping her tea.
" I see those nasty twins are being a bad influence on you too" Sev said in disbelief on the choice of words of his niece. Amelia snorted on her uncle's reaction.
"Btw Sev, what was she like?" Amelia asked cautiously to see all the color drain out of her uncle's face. He stayed silent looking anywhere but her.
" Come on Sev dont be like this, dont you think i deserve to know atleast a bit about her, please" Amelia said earnestly trying to convince him.
"Please" She repeated desperately. Sev let out a long sigh after closing his eyes after looking at those puppy dog eyes of his niece.
"Sierra was a year younger than me" Sev started quietely not meeting his niece's eyes, Amelia face broke into a wide smile, she finally convinced him.
"And what she was like?" Amelia asked controlling her excitement to prevent any change in sev's mood.
"Stubborn, fierce, topper of her class, ready to fight, ready to sacrifice" His tone was a whisper on the last word but with the smallest sad smile on his face.
" Were you close with her?" She asked clasping her hands under her chin.
"We were not just siblings we were best friends until your fool mother accepted your nasty father's proposal" He said his face expression changing from sad to anger.
" Dont get grumpy again talk nicely, lets not talk about him, just her, okay?" Amelia said pouting again trying to bring him back to normal.
"Theres not much for you to know about her, she was just stubborn and couldn't decide what was more important in her life" He said clutching tightly to the arms of sofa.
" Oh forget I ever asked, now chill out" Amelia said sushing him, he surped his tea. They spent a few moments in silence before Amelia eyes had mischevious glint in them.
"Btw Sev, did you not have a female friend in school?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows. She saw the expression which she expect deadpanned or eye roll was not their instead there was a pained look on his face.
"Okay I get it you had a very troubled childhood I am sorry for ever asking" Amelia said quickly raising her hands to stop him from saying anything before he could even utter a word, he just rolled his eyes while shaking head.
" Forget all of this, do you remember what it is two days after christmas" Amelia asked cheekily.
"Its your birthday" he said rolling his eyes again at her excitement.
" Holy merlin, you are no fun Sev, atleast you should have tried acting a bit and then surprise me" She said groaning.
" Come out of muggle fictions, it is no surprise you were born two days later christmas" He said with a smirk.
" Now i feel offended" She said scowling with a hand on her hand.
"Dramatic" He muttered.
" And you are not dramatic when you overly large cloak floats in air when you walk" She said tauntingly.
" Whatever, now its almost dusk i have to meet headmaster and potter" He said back to being monotone, and from the corner of his eyes saw his niece straighten at the last name.
"What happened?" He asked raising an eyebrow at her. She remembered what happened in the forest that night with Harold.
" Nothing, what happened, nothing, i will go and meet Hagrid you go wherever you want" Amelia said suddenly nervous standing up on her feet and about to leave the room.
"Wait" He called from his seat stopping the girl. She turned to look around to meet his eyes cautiously. He started narrowing his eyes at her gaining an awkward smile.
"Tell me later, i have to go" Amelia said impatiently raising her voice a bit and shutting the door behind her, leaving a furious frowning Severus on his seat.
"Holy shit" He muttered to himself in disbelief staring at from where his niece left. Amelia didnt have the slightest idea that her mind was read by her uncle.
"You are in trouble potter" He sneered standing up on his and leaving the room immediately. ______________________________________
