Chapter 80 || Aftermath

"HOW DARE HE!?" Severus Snape smashed a glass on the floor into piece  furiously, while Remus Lupin let out an angry sigh as he finished telling the black cloaked man about what happened.

"I know, just– just bring her back now, she is at Malfoy Manor" Remus said calmly controlling his tone which was still furious and hoarse.

"You will not tell me Lupin, she is coming back this instant, and I promise to you no one of you will get to see her face ever again" Sev said in a low dangerous tone.

"If you are forgetting, she is my goddaughter too, and if I were there last night, I wouldnt have let any of this happen, And you know that" Remus said in a slightly raised voice.

"I am bringing her. Now. Make something good if you can, or leave" Severus said grabbing a handful of  floo powder and quickly flooing away to the Malfoy Manor.

"Where's Amelia?" Not even a milisecond passed as the flames landed him in another fireplace and he stepped out demanding for his niece startling the members of the house.

"Oh Severus– She is in the room at the end of the corridor–" Narcissa breathed our startled but indicated the direcrion and was cut by Severus already storming off from the room.

He reached the room Narcissa told and it did not took him more than three second despite the length of the corridor at the manor, he saw the door was kept open and their new house elf, Olaf, standing guarding the room, Severus quietely made his way inside letting out a shuddering breath because he already knew Amelia must be really hurt and will not be able to bear the sight of that.

He stepped in slowly, seeing a figure laying on the bed, black hair sprawled all over the pillow, and a large blanket covering her from head to toe. Inhaling sharply he scurried closer to his niece to get a little sight of her face, and his heart broke instantly on seeing large bags under her eyes, she was sleeping, mouth slightly parted, a tray full of potions and medicines kept on the side table.

He quietely accioed a small chair to sit in front of her without making any sound, he stretched his hand to brush of her hair falling on her face, but his finger tips were collided with immense heat, she was burning. He widened his eyes in fury, in no way 'that man' is living another day.

"Amelia.." He softly breathed out with a sad look, but she didnt even stir, a little frown never left her face she looked extremely weak.

"Amelia, I am here, Sev" He called softly again and saw the breathing quicken of his niece, she whimpered in sleep on hearing the name, maybe she was going to wake up.

"Yes, Amelia, wake up, I am here" Sev cooed, The only living being to hear that tone of Severus snape was Amelia, that too not in her senses right now.

"Sev.." She croaked as her lips quivered, he rubbed her hand encouraging her to open her eyes slowly, and she saw with a blurry vision her uncle sitting in front of her.

Tears formed again in her eyes making her vision more blurry, Sev put on a really small but sad comforting smile, only for her to break into tears again. Tears seeped out mercilessly from her eyes, she didnt care if her uncle is going to scold her later like always for crying, he never let her cry, saying its what weak people do, but the real reason was never told to her by her uncle, he didnt know how to comfort people, he couldnt watch her cry, so instead he banned it for her in a way, but its not like she never cried her whole life, thats something only Remus witnessed because he knew how to make her stop crying, but right Remus was not there.

"Amelia, you want to go home? Stop crying firstly" Very comforting words Sev. He picked up the vial of the potion he recognised easily which was placed on the bed side table, draught of peace. He slipped the blue liquid slowly in het mouth gently lifting her head up, and it took her a few moments to calm down.
