As Cedric stormed off after yelling on her face, Amelia just stared bewildered, hurt, shocked, watching him leave. Did he really say that?
A heavy tear strolled down her cheek but she harshly wiped it away and ran out wherever her steps led her too. By the evening she found herself laying near the black lake staring at the orange sky aimlessly.
She still couldnt comprehend how did that happen, why would he say something like that, why would he do this to her? As it started getting darker and it was now the time of dinner, she still wanted to lay there but decided to go back to her dorm, maybe someone would have been getting worried for her.
She got up and slowly started moving inside the castle with a blank face. She didnt bother going to the great hall for dinner, after what happened not even a bite could possibly go down her throat. She strolled along the darkout corridors, moving her feet heavily.
Her head jerked up when she heard sounds coming from the dark corners, two dark figures could be seen. Nonchalantly she moved towards them, but halted when one of them spoke.
"Can I come to your dorm?" It was Cho's voice. Amelia moved forward to see Cedric was pushed against a wall and Cho stood in front of him her hands on his shoulders.
A hurt look stricked her face, she saw Cedric nod at Cho and Cho instantly got on her tip toes bringing her mouth on his. Tears started pooling in her eyes as the two continued doing their task in front of her. With her lips quivering at the sight she ran to the gryffindor common room.
The fat lady asked for the password, Amelia panted and muttered it under her breath but she didnt hear it.
"FORTUNA MAJOR" She yelled through gritted teeth. The door swung open by the intimidated fat lady.
Amelia ran inside, not many people were there. With angry tears pooling her eyes she ran straight to the stairs but harshly collided into someone.
"Amelia" she stood straight and heard Fred's voice. Not turning to him she moved towards the stair but a hand on her wrist stopped her.
"Where were you whole day?" He asked, Amelia didnt turn just tried to withdraw her hand from his.
"I know what happened" He said and Amelia went stiff. He pulled her towards him to bring her in a hug, she didnt hug back, her mind drifting to what she saw.
"I was worried for you" He said soothing her hair. He pulled away to see her eyes red and full of tears but none spilling out. His heart broke at the sight.
"come" He said softly pulling her out of the common room. She didnt know where he brought her, all she knew it was deserted, they sat by the window, cool january breeze hitting their faces.
"How do you feel?" He asked sitting beside her knowing what a stupid question he asked.
