Jessica was now in her bed, it was 12 already, her cigarette burning on the ashtray, holding her phone.

Jessica

I had a great time tonight.

She texted her lover and smirked, waiting for her to reply. Susan was already on her phone when Jessica's text appeared and smiled immediately as if it was their first date. She opened it.

Susan

Me too. It was wonderful

Jessica

What are you doing tomorrow?

Susan

Nothing, my son's coming in town but we'll see each other over lunch

Jessica

So you're free around ten?

Susan

Yes, why?

Jessica

If you want to come over? Have a drink. Talk

But only if that doesn't seem boring to you

Susan

I could spend the rest of my life talking with you

if I'm dying tomorrow

Jessica

Hahaha

You're lucky I'm not easily offended

Susan

Or what?

Jessica

I don't know, I just said it

Susan

Alright

So see u tomorrow?

Jessica

At 10. Don't leave me waiting

Susan

Never had, never will.

Susan replied and closed her phone, knowing that her woman wouldn't bother to text back. She smirked at herself and took off her glasses, letting a soft chuckle as she made herself more comfortable on the bed.

The hours passed faster than expected for both women who even though didn't want to admit were counting the minutes until they would see each other again.

They put themselves and their relationship through a new condition and the fact that they wouldn't speak to each other the whole day was something that they didn't know how to handle. Susan kept herself occupied, she met with her son and finally saw her grandchildren as for Jessica she focused on herself, read one of her books, without having Susan interrupting her for the first time after years. She even called her friends and relatives, catching up with them and as time passed she started feeling that sweet knot on her stomach.

Both stood in front of their closets, thinking of what to wear for an occasion like this and both had absolutely no idea of what would be perfectly suitable. Not wanting to pay much attention to the outfit, Susan wore one of her jumpsuits with a black t-shirt underneath, keeping in mind that Jessica was finding her "sexy" while wearing her glasses, she put them on as well and finally left her house.
