Chapter 21
Peeta's P.O.V.
"But dad..." I sigh into my phone. "Can't James or Logan do it?"
"No Peeta, they're both working", dad says. "You are your aunts only hope".
"But I..." I sigh. "Okay fine let me talk to aunt Jeni".
"Okay here she comes", dad says and I hear how he gives the phone to someone else.
"Hey Peeta! Please do this for your favorite auntie", aunt Jeni says in a begging voice.
"Yeah okay, but how long?" I ask.
"Um 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm", she says. "Five hours I know, but they aren't that hard I promise".
"Yeah okay fine, but only because you're my favorite auntie", I say in a fake baby voice.
"You're the best nephew any aunt could ask for", aunt Jeni says.
"Oh I know", I say. "Be sure to tell James and Logan that".
I hang up the phone and sigh.
I walk down to the living room, only to find Katniss alone. She's lying in the couch, watching something on the TV.
"Where did the others go?" I ask.
"I think Finnick and Annie went to Finnick's parents and the others I really have no idea, maybe they're buying things to Katniss proof the kitchen or something", she giggles to herself at the joke she just made.
Aww she's so cute. All giggly.
"What are you planning to do the rest of the day?" I ask.
"Have PLL marathon and eat two Ben&Jerry's not caring about getting fat", she says.
Like she'd get fat. No way, she's the best cheerleader in the world.
"Why?" She asks and peeks up at me from behind the couch back.
"I have to go to my aunt's house in half an hour to babysit my twin cousins", I say. "My aunt and dad apparently have to go do something, they didn't tell me what".
"Aww cute how old are they?" Katniss asks.
"They're five", I say. "There's an age difference between my dad and aunt, he was already eighteen when Jeni was born".
"Oh yeah I see the difference", Katniss says and sits up.
"Yeah, but he said that from the moment he saw her, he knew he'd do anything to protect and help his baby sister", Peeta says. "And five years after that James was born".
"So he's only five years younger?" Katniss says. "How old is James?"
"James is twenty two", I answer.
"Okay James is twenty two, so you're aunt is twenty seven", Katniss says thoughtfully and I smile as I look at her when her brain does its job. "And the twins are five so she had them when she was twenty two, one year younger then your dad who was twenty three when James was born and your aunt was five and he was seventeen the same age you are now".
I chuckle.
"Correct, and two years after James was born, the joke called Logan was born and three whole years later, the magnificent baby boy Peeta was born", I say and Katniss giggles.
She takes up a pillow in her hand and throws it onto me.
"Hey what was that for?" I ask.
"For being a stuck up snob", she says.
