Chapter 29

Katniss P.O.V.

Peeta and I have now been together for two weeks. And these two weeks has been the best two weeks in my life.

Peeta really makes me feel so good.

The school has started to get used to us being a couple now, and that feels good, cause I was really starting to get tired of them looking at us and whispering all the time.

Right now I'm lying in Peeta's room, lying on his bed. He's not home at the moment, he's at his family's bakery, baking. Apparently people love the cheese buns he bakes. I haven't tasted one yet, but Finnick has, and he told me it's heaven in a little ball. But than again, Finnick is a drama queen.

When I first walked into Peeta's room I couldn't talk for about half an hour. I was so amazed. He's walls are painted like a beach with a sunset. And it's painted like in 3-D so I accidentally walked into the wall to touch the sunset. And when you turn the lights off, it goes pitch black and the stars he painted up on the ceiling starts glowing like a real night sky. It's just so beautiful. Peeta told me that he painted this himself, it took him about a week or so. At first I didn't believe him, but he had all the guys backing him up, saying that they've seen the process.

So right now, I'm lying in his bed, looking up at the stairs and feeling peaceful. I can't believe how anyone can paint like this. I thought that it was literary impossible.

I really like being in Peeta's room, it's really beautiful.

Peeta offered to pain the walls in my room if I want to, but I'm barely ever in there anymore, I'm in here a lot. The only time I'm actually in my room is when I change clothes or sleep. So I told him it was unnecessary.

Suddenly the door opens up and Peeta walks in.

"Hello my beauty", he says with a smile.

He walks up to the bed and sits down on the edge, bending down to kiss my lips lightly.

"Hello yourself", I whisper against his lips.

"Could you maybe come down?" Peeta asks and straighten up.

"Yeah why? What's up?" I ask, sitting up.

"Jeni's down there with the twins, Adam is hysterical, crying and asking for you", he says with a frown. "He doesn't let anyone else comfort him, not my dad, or my brothers, not even me or Jeni".

I raise my eyebrows. Adam's asking for me? That sweet lite boy.

"Oh", I say, climbing over Peeta to stand up on the floor. "What happened?"

"He found a photo of Carter in the bakery", Peeta sighs standing up. "It was a photo with the four of them, taken when the twins were three, dad has it on his desk, we usually put it away when the twins comes, but this time we just forgot, it got really messy".

My heart dies inside of me. I know how it is to lose a father. I lost my father.

I walk out of the room, leaving Peeta behind, almost forgetting he was even there in the first place. But he remind me again of his presence when he catches up with me and intertwine his fingers with mine.

We hurry down the stairs... Or I hurry and pretty much drag Peeta down the stairs.

I hear the crying of a child and that makes me walk even faster.

When we arrive into the living room, both Jeni and Ali are trying to comfort Adam, but he slams their hands away, looking angry as tears flows down his very red face.
