Chapter 23

Katniss P.O.V.

I don't think that I'm starting to get the flu. When I woke up this morning I felt absolutely fine and no more electricity flowing around in my body.

I wonder what happened to me yesterday. I've never felt anything like that before. Not ever. It was a whole new experience of what it now was. I don't even know.

I know I should care, and try to find out what it was, but I just don't care. I don't feel like it was so big. I thought it was the flu, but it's not, so I just don't see why I should care more about it.

The doorbell brings me out of my thoughts. The bell rings throughout the whole house and makes everyone peek out from where they are in the house. Like mice coming out of their holes.

I stand up from the couch and walk up to the door. Everyone starts flowing around the house, curious about who it can be at 10 am in the morning a Sunday.

I yawn as I open the door, tiredly.

When I see who's standing there I feel anger rise in my body.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Aren't you happy to see me?" He asks in a sarcastic voice.

"Should I be?" I ask.

"Well, I think so", he chuckles.

"Seriously though Haymitch", I say.

"Aren't you gonna invite me in?" He asks.

"Do I have a choice?" I ask.

"Not really, I'm gonna start singing outside the house", he says.

"Like serenade?" I ask.

"Yep", Haymitch says popping the p. "And I sing very good".

"Oh no you don't", a voice says behind me.

A smile sneaks up on my face as I turn around to see Peeta walk up behind me. In nothing but a pair of soft pants. His abs are killing me. Like literally.

"Trust me Kat, hearing him sing is like hearing a pig get stung", he says.

"I love you too Peeta", Haymitch says.

I roll my eyes and move away from the door so Peeta can talk to Haymitch instead. I just hawk and walk back to the couch where I was before the drunk came here. Although he didn't seem drunk now.

The rest of the group is sitting there now.

"Eyy move!" I say to Finnick who's sitting exactly on the spot I was sitting on before opening the door.

"Why? It's not you're couch is it?" He asks, showing me his tongue.

"Don't make me push you off", I threaten.

"Should I be scared?" Finnick asks teasingly.

Just when I'm about to grab Finnick's precious bronze colored hair Peeta and Haymitch comes into the living room. Maybe I shouldn't make Finnick cry in front of Peeta's manager...

Okay for now he'll get away. See? I can be kind!

"Guys this is my manager Haymitch Abernathy", Peeta says.

"Humpf", I sigh and roll my eyes.

I can see the ghost of a smile on Peeta's lips. I know he wants to smile but it hardly seems like the right time, when Haymitch doesn't look like he's in the best mood right now.

"So you actually wanted something or you just came here to bug us?" I ask, crossing my arms over my chest and stare at Peeta's pathetic manager.

"I actually did want something, sweetheart", he says.
