Chapter 26: Interrogation

Chapter 26

Katniss P.O.V.

It's been about a day since Peeta and I became boyfriend and girlfriend. We haven't told our friends yet because we know they'll totally freak.

But tonight the group decided that they wanted a movie night. And if we're having a movie night I wanna snuggle with Peeta. But how can I do that if the others doesn't know we're together? We've planned on telling them, but not the exact words. We're planning on showing them instead.

Right now everyone are in the living room, deciding on what movies we're going to watch. Peeta is sitting on a small backless stool and I'm standing beside him. Annie is sitting on the floor, holding up alternatives.

I walk around Peeta.

"I'm going to start with the snacks", I say to everyone. "What should I bring in?"

"The chips, obviously", Glimmer says.

"And the macadamia nuts", Finnick says as he's shaking his head to the Notebook Annie is holing up.

"I want to see it!" Madge says.

"Me too", Annie, Glimmer, Clove and I shout.

"Sorry Finny, out-ruled by the girls", Annie says. "And bring the soda".

"And the candy", Madge says.

"Bring everything we bought", Gale says simply.

I giggle.

"Shout if you need help", Peeta says.

"Okay", I say as I bend down to place a kiss onto his lips.

I straighten up and start to walk towards the kitchen. But someone grabs my arm and yanks me backwards. I almost fall. Madge.

"Um excuse me", she says.

"Yes Madge, you are excused", I say and I hear Peeta chuckle. We both know what's coming next.

"What the hell was that?" Finnick asks and plops up from the couch.

"Well she pulled me back and I was about to fall", I explain, acting clueless.

"No before that", Gale says.

"I said that she should shout if she needs help", Peeta says, and I keep a laugh away with big effort.

"No after that", Glimmer says.

"Madge said 'Um excuse me'," I say. "And I told her she was excused".

The look on everyone's faces are priceless. They know that we're joking with them. But I can also see that they are starting to loose their patience.

"Cut to crap!" Cato exclaims. "You kissed him! You kissed Peeta!"

"Oh you mean that?" I ask.

"Yes!" Everyone shouts.

"When the hell did this happen?" Finnick asks shouting.

"Yesterday", Peeta says and grabs my hand. I intertwine my fingers with his.

"Wait... You're together?!" Glimmer asks and I can hear her voice start to become high pitched. Oh god.

I nod, and she starts to scream like she sat on a bee or something. She runs up to me and starts hugging me, while screaming.

Okay she's gonna make me deaf if she doesn't stop screaming. God this girls has some strong lungs.

"Glimmer god! Stop screaming", I say.

"I'm just so happy", she screams with tears flowing down her eyes. "This is what I've been waiting for!"
