Losing Chan (For A Whole Two Minutes)

A few days later, Changkyun woke up in the nest room, surrounded by a bunch of other Omegas.

He was squished between Jeonghan and Felix.

Felix warmed up to them rather quickly. He was very clingy and loved nothing more than to cling and hug his pack members. He couldn't sleep if he wasn't clinging to atlease one poor soul.

Changkyun sat up, frowning when he noticed Chan wasn't in the nest with him.

He held back his panicked whine as he gently pushed Felix over to cling to Kihyun instead.

He stood up, making his way out of the Omega pile.

As he made his way closer towards the kitchen he heard talking and giggling.

He would recognise Chan's giggles anywhere.

"Great job, Channie! You did it."

Changkyun recognise the voice of one the Pack's Betas, Seokmin, he thinks his name is.

"Yeah, are you sure this is your first time making pancakes?"

That was Soonyoung.

Chan laughed nervously.
"I'm sure."

The two Betas laughed.

"Are you coming in here, Changkyun?"

Changkyun tensed at the Pack-Alpha's voice.

He hesitantly stepped into the kitchen.

"Morning, Hyung! I'm baking pancakes." Chan smiled to Changkyun brightly.

Changkyun returned the smile.
"Well done, Pup. They look delicious."

Chan blushed at the compliment, before continuing on with what he was doing.

Changkyun sat across from Hyunwoo. Bambam and Hyungwon asleep on either side of the Alpha.

"They're not morning people, but they like to be close." Hyunwoo said without a question.

Changkyun smiled slightly.
"Jeongin isn't a morning person either." He mumbled.

Hyunwoo smiled to the Omega.

"I wanted to tell you that you did a very good job looking after the boys. How long had you been living in that old church?" He asked.

Changkyun's eyes drifted up, counting the time in his head.

"Four years. Just over four years. Tho we found Jeongin only six months before you found us."

Chan made a loud whining noise from the kitchen.

"Sorry, Channie, I didn't mean to bring it up."

Hyunwoo frowned at the Omegas reactions. He looked between them.

Changkyun bit his lip.
"His...Jeongin wasn't from a nice family. He found out his Mum was purchased by his Dad from an Omega trading market. His Mum was certain he too would be an Omega, so she told him to run while his Father was out of town. Jeongin said she couldn't and wouldn't watch the same thing happen to him that happened to her."

The two Betas by Hyunwoo whined pathetically.

Hyunwoo gently hushed them back to sleep.

"I'm sorry that happened."

Changkyun shrugged.
"He had us when it actually mattered."

The Alpha smiled fondly.
"I'm glad he did."
