"What is it?" Kairo asked. He looked worried as if he was dreading the answer. Logan stayed near the fireplace barely moving and not saying a word. Maverick jumped out of the chair he was sitting in and went to the bookcase on the other side of the room. He quickly scanned through the books and chose one. It looked old and was covered in dust. Maverick carried the big book back to the coffee table and slammed it down. Logan inched slightly closer to get a better look. Across the front of the book is said "Myths and legends of the supernaturals' '. Maverick flicked through the pages. He landed on one titled "Vampires and Hybrids' '. Kairo let out a little laugh "You can't be serious?" he asked. "There's a reason why Hybrids are in a myths book. They don't exist. They can't". Maverick took a deep breath. "I've heard rumours about a rogue vampire. His name is Jeremy '' Kairo nodded "yeah" he said "Rumours". Maverick tapped the page "a Hybrid is created by carrying out the vampire transformation process on a werewolf. It turns them half vampire and half werewolf. Every Time a new Hybrid is created the bloodline gets stronger. Including the vampire that began it all." Kairo lounged back in his chair "And you seem to think this Jeremey guy is creating a... Hybrid army?" he asked. Maverick nodded "But why?". Maverick turned the page. "Back in 1913 someone attempted to make a Hybrid army. It's supposed to be more powerful than any supernatural thing in the world. But the transformation didn't work properly and it failed" Kairo took the book and started to look through it. "Even if this was true. What's it got to do with us?" he asked. "You're vampires' ' Maverick said matter of factly. "They must be recruiting". Logan finally abandoned the fireplace and sat in the chair next to Kairo "So how do we stop it?" he asked. Maverick hesitated "No one knows. A hybrid army has never been successful before" Logan slammed his hands down on the tale "That's not gonna help us." he hissed. Maverick just stared hard at Logan. After a few seconds the table began to feel hot underneath Logan's hands. He removed them quickly grimacing at the pain "I suggest you show me more respect" Maverick warned. Logan glared at Maverick but sat back down in his chair gently rubbing his hands. Of course vampires healed quicker but the pain stuck around. "So what is the plan?" asked Kairo. "I'll have to call around and see what people know" Maverick got up and went to the study leaving Kairo and Logan alone.

About an hour had passed when Maverick returned. "Anything?" Kairo asked. Maverick leaned on the doorway "There's a researcher coming" he replied "His name is Adam". Logan stood and faced Maverick "And what is Adam's special power" he said sarcastically. "Shapeshifter" Maverick said.
