It was Sunday evening and it was pouring down with rain. Maverick, Logan and Kairo had been locked up in the house for a couple of days whilst waiting for Adam to arrive. Maverick didn't trust Logan to leave the house and cause havoc in the town that he lived in. He had to make a couple of trips to the hospital to sneak some blood bags for Kairo and Logan to keep them from breaking out. He wasn't proud of it. But it's something that he had to do. There was a knock on the door and Maverick opened it to reveal Adam stood on the other side of it. Adam was a tall boy. He was quite young looking. At the very least 18 years old. He had short black hair that was kept neat and tidy and freckles on his cheek. Definitely not what Kairo and Logan were expecting. He carried a lot of bags and had been drenched from the rain. He gave a small smile to Maverick as he walked through the doorway. Logan noticed that he didn't need the same permission they did to enter the house. Adam had been here before. "Thank you for coming on such short notice" said Maverick, taking his wet coat and hanging it up for him. "It's my pleasure," replied Adam. Logan scoffed which brought Adam's attention straight to him. "Do you have to talk like that?" he asked. "Like what" Logan held up his hands and did quotation marks "My pleasure" he mocked. Adam took a deep breath but didn't reply. Instead he picked up his bags and placed them near the table. He started pulling out notebooks and setting them down. Logan picked one up and started to flick through it. Every page was filled with information about every supernatural Logan had heard about. The book was very similar to Maverick's one except it contained a lot more creatures that Logan had never even heard of before. He found a page full of information about Jeremy. "How do you even know all of this?" Logan asked, holding up the book opened on a page that was filled with scribbled handwriting that Logan assumed was Adam's. Adam shrugged "The more information you have on an enemy the easier it is to find their weakness. It's my job to find this information" Logan sat down and put the book on his lap and looked at the page. It was all about the hybrid kind and why they are considered to be the most dangerous supernatural creature.
Jeremy:
A vampire trying to wipe out all the other supernaturals.
He seems to think that vampires and werewolves are the most dominant. He has successfully completed the experiment that no one has managed to do before. Combining the two together to make a hybrid. If no one stops him he can take over the world. He will hold the most powerful army anyone has ever seen before. Any human or other supernatural will cease to exist...
Logan nodded uninterested. He rested Adam's notebook on the arm of the chair and stood up. "Well I'm off," he announced and made his way to the door. Maverick looked confused "You're not going anywhere" he demanded. Logan glanced over his shoulder but barely looked at him. He turned back to the door and began to pull on the handle but it wouldn't budge. He spun around looking furious "Let me out" he said. Maverick attempted to take a step towards him but thought better of it. "I don't trust you," Logan smirked. Knowing it would get underneath Maverick's skin. "You can't keep me here forever," Logan replied. He grabbed a nearby stool and smashed the window next to the door. Glass flew everywhere and immediately let in a cold breeze. He climbed out of the window and was gone before anyone could stop him.
Logan didn't know the town that well but he knew he couldn't stay in that house any longer. He found a pub just down the road from Maverick's house. It was on the outskirts of the main town. Probably just for the non sociable locals. Logan's physical age was 20 so he had no problem being served. That didn't stop him from using his compelling abilities to get his drinks for free. As he waited for his drink Logan scanned the room. Something all vampires like to do when searching for lunch. It had been a while since Logan ate fresh so he wasn't planning on being too picky. He was almost disappointed until he turned back to the bar and his eyes landed on a girl sitting a couple of seats away from him. She had shoulder length brunette hair. Her outfit was a plain black jeans and vest top complete with a checkered shirt over the top. She looked just under the legal age to be in a bar but Logan wasn't complaining. She looked up and caught him staring at her "can I help you?" Logan smirked. She was definitely his choice. He loved them with an attitude. He moved over to the stool next to hers. "Can I buy you a drink?" he asked. The girl held up her glass that she was holding to show that she already had one and didn't say a word to him. Logan laughed and looked down at the floor for a few seconds. Trying to give off a shy vibe. He looked back at her but her expression hadn't changed. "I'm Logan" he said with a smile whilst holding out his hand. But she just stared at it. "Nice to meet you Logan" she said sarcastically. Which annoyed him slightly but he didn't show it. He likes a challenge and that's exactly what she was. Logan put his hand down that she had left hanging in the air. "Can I know your name?" he asked, trying to get back on track. She looked at him for a few seconds before standing up and leaning in close so that only he could hear. "Why don't we just somewhere private?" she whispered in his ear. When she leaned back she was smiling. "That's what you want isn't it? That's why you're here trying to pretend you're this cute shy boy?" Logan laughed and held up his hands. "Well you caught me," he said. "But I'd love to take up on that offer" he licked his lips. Itching for the taste of fresh blood. Logan didn't expect her to come so willingly especially with the rocky start he had with her. He stood up from his stool and held out his arm for her to take. She gently placed her arm around his and he led her out the pub and round the corner where an alley was leading onto an open field that seemed to look quite private, since it was cold weather. As soon as he got round the corner he pushed her up against the wall and out his lips on hers. He knew from past experience to never go straight for the kill. Especially with a girl like this. The key is to get their guard down. He found himself slightly enjoying the kiss. Her lips were soft and she ran her fingers through his hair. She wasn't afraid to kiss back. He was so mesmerised he almost forgot what his real intention was. He moved his hands to her neck along with his lips ready to take a bite. His fangs retracted from his gums but before they could break the skin Logan felt a sharp pain in his chest. His fangs went back into his gums as he fell to his knees. He looked up at the girl who just stood there. She had no reaction to his sudden burst of pain. Suddenly Logan began to cough viciously and water splattered everywhere out of his mouth. He fell to his side clutching his aching chest. The girl kneeled down beside him "word of advice... Don't try to eat a witch" Logan's eyes widened. The girl stood up and left. When she was out of sight the pain in Logan's chest went away. He stayed laying on the floor for a while trying to recover and take in everything that had happened. He had no idea how that had gotten out of hand so quickly. He'd never had conflict with a witch that powerful before. He wondered who the hell she was. Witches normally traveled in covens. They usually never separate. Which made it more suspicious that she was alone. His hunger must have made him too desperate to see it. Logan slowly got to his feet and made his way back to Maverick's house. Giving up on the idea of a fresh meal.
