August 2021

A loud scream from the living room immediately made me rush out there only to see Niki standing up in the couch looking down at Heeseung in disbelief, meanwhile Heeseung just sat and happily giggled.

"I seriously wonder what's going on in this group sometimes," I muttered in disbelief as I just stared at the two boys.

"Oh... noona," Niki casually looked over at me before just flopping down on the couch once more.

"Oh... Nishimura Riki," I retorted making him let out a small giggle.

"Have you seen Sunghoon-ie hyung today?" he questioned and I let out a small sigh.

"Ever since I wasn't allowed out of bed this morning... no," I shook my head at him.

"He's been acting weird," Heeseung commented and Niki immediately nodded in agreement, "I don't even think he left the breakfast table."

"I'll check on him," I hummed in assurance before looking to Niki, "and don't stand in the couch, please."

"Maybe," he muttered with a sly smile on his face making me just try and surpress a smile before continuing down towards the kitchen.

I quietly knocked on the kitchen door before poking my head in. Sure enough, Sunghoon still sat by the table with his breakfast bowl in front of him. He was just staring at the table as if he had just woken up.

"Hoonie?" I called out making him just let out a hum, not really moving his eyes from what he was starring at, "you good?"

I quietly stepped into the kitchen and closed the door behind me, slowly walking over to the table and looking at him.

"Can I ask you something?" he questioned as his hands folded under his chin.

"Of course," I hummed and sat down in the chair beside him, "what is it?"

"Would you still date me if I decided to go back to skating?" he questioned making me just frown at him. He didn't even move out of the spot, not even one centimeter.

"Of course I would, what are you talking about? I'm not just dating you because we work in the same group," I let out a small laugh at him, "why would you ask that?"

"I don't know..." he muttered and shrugged.

I starred at him for a while before getting a weird feeling, making a frown slowly grow on my face.

"Is this some sort of work by antis?" I questioned him and he just shrugged at me.

"So what if it is?" he muttered, "matter of fact is that I should've stayed figure skating. I'm better off as a figure skater than an idol."

"Hey, you look at me," I stated and turned his face making him just stare at me with an empty look, "would you still date me if I was swinging around in some silks?"

"Ye-" he started before I cut him off.

"No you would've not," I stated making him frown, "we would've never have met again if I was. But if you were still dancing around and some ice we might've had a bigger chance of meeting. Anyone else but you don't know anything about whether or not you're best off as an idol or as a figure skater. It's whatever makes you the happiest that you're best off as."

"But you're happiest when floating around," he stated making me just shrug.

"Not if I'm happier when I'm around you," I smugly replied making a small smile spread on Sunghoon's face before he leaned his head into my hand, "now ignore whatever everyone else says. Focus on what you enjoy doing and how happy you are around us."

"Okay," he muttered with a small nod.

"Have you really sat here since morning and just thought about that?" I questioned making him quietly nod at me, "Hoonie!"

"What?" he questioned with a small smile on his face.

"It's times like these, when you're down, that you go and find me and just cling onto me like some ice cube that's frozen to my skin, until you're happy again," I stated making him let out a small laugh at me, "now... are we feeling a bit better now?"

"Maybe if I can get a kiss?" he questioned making me let out a small laugh before rolling my eyes at him in amusement.

"You think you deserve a kiss?" I questioned him making him glance to the door before looking back at me and just nodding at me, "and why do you believe that?"

"Because I'm incredibly cute and handsome right now," he confidently stated making me let out a small snort, "and I listened to what you said without denying anything for once."

"Then I just have one last question," I stated making him hum and raise his eyebrows at me, "are you still denying the fact that your cheeks get extremely red just by me holding your hand?"

Sunghoon sucked in a deep breath as he just starred at me. He knew very well I would not give him a kiss if he still denied that claim and as far as I could see on him right now... he really wanted a kiss from me.

"Fine... I still get flustered," he sighed making me just grin at him.

"You're adorable," I muttered making him snap his eyes over to look at me.

"Yah!" he complained making me just smile before leaning in and pecking the corner of his lips, "I want a real kiss."

"It was a real kiss," I shook my head at him as he just grabbed ahold of my hand.

"Fine then... I want a kiss on the lips," he stated making me let out a small laugh before leaning in and pecking his lips.

"I get so nauseous of seeing him act like that," Jay commented from the door before just backing out and closing the door to the kitchen again.

"I hadn't even heard him," Sunghoon commented in shock.

"You know... I think you should take his comment more as an offense than what everyone else on the internet says," I stated making Sunghoon look to me and just nod before a small smile spread on his face.

It was almost as if it was a telepathic agreement that we both was to break into a laughter at the same time. It was nice seeing him recovered from his worries about whether or not he should go back to skating or not.
