July 2021
I glanced at the time on my phone, about ten minutes. I quickly stretched my neck and y back before adjusting my sweater and grabbing the papers I had been given over the different charges.
"Are you ready, Love?" a voice spoke from the front hall of the hotel room, and I looked over at Sunghoon.
He had insisted on coming along for the last court day, to silently sit as a support. So now he stood, ready to go, in a pair of black pants and a white shirt, that was rolled up to his elbows. Looking effortlessly beautiful.
"Mhm," I hummed before gathering the papers and grabbed my mask as well before walking over to him.
He immediately placed a hand on the smaller part of my back, guiding me down to the elevator, where we both pulled on our masks.
"Once this is all over... we're celebrating," Sunghoon stated and I let out a small laugh.
"Lets do it with room service," I nodded at him, "pictures of us around town yesterday has already spread, and the rumours are just intensifying, you know?"
"Okay... room service," he nodded at me.
"And you know the best part of us being in London?" I questioned and he arched a brow at me, "I can buy the alcohol~"
"We're not getting alcohol," he simply shook his head at me making me let out a small gasp.
"You said we had to celebrate! No champagne?" I questioned in disbelief.
"No champagne," he shook his head at me.
I let out a small huff before looking straight ahead, acting as if I was offended. It only earned a small laugh from him before he bent down and gave me a kiss on the check through our masks.
"I know you're not mad at me," he spoke up making me let out a louder and more stubborn huff, "I'm not believing that one, Love."
I ended up letting out a small laugh as the elevator stopped and we walked our way to the court. As we got there Sunghoon took his seat amongst the other people who had come to watch as I walked up to the lawyer the company had hired and got the information I had to know.
"Hoon?" I spoke up as I rushed down beside Sunghoon. He immediately snapped his head up from his phone and looked at me, "can we move you to another seat?"
"Where do you want me to sit?" he questioned.
"Up in front," I stated and he glanced around, especially around the row he sat on. At the moment he was seated at the back row, "please? I need you to be near."
"Okay," he sighed before standing up and walking with me down to the front row, where he sat down in a seat, right behind the table I had to sit at with the lawyer.
"Thank you," I breathed out and he just nodded at me.
"Of course," he assured.
I was soon ushered into my place before the last court day began. Most of the time passed with the judge reading up the things my mom had admitted to, and her confirming them one by one. At one point they had brought my brother in for a last witness statement for the abuse and neglect accusations. I didn't have to do much, except for sit there and answer my lawyer's questions whenever he asked me any to pass on to the judge.
Eventually the jury did go out to vote, and at that point my brother had rushed up from his seat and over to me.
"Eddie," my brother happily cooed out before hugging me and I happily hugged him back, "you know what? My new foster family... they all love your group."
"They do? " I questioned him and he excitedly nodded.
"My favorite's Sunghoon," he proudly stated and I let out a small laugh before turning around and pointing to Sunghoon who sat in the front row, and looked confused as to why he had been pointed out, "oh, you're kidding me."
"Go say hi to him," I urged and watched as my brother rushed off to go speak with Sunghoon.
By the end of the day mom got sentenced to five years, I met my brother's new foster family and greeted them in a proper way.
"I'm gonna try one last time," I sighed and looked over at Sunghoon who was tying the strings of the sweats he had changed into, "champagne?"
"Are you wearing anything under my hoodie?" he frowned at me and I immediately looked down at myself.
"Of course I am," I stated and pulled up in the hem of his hoodie and showed the shorts I was wearing, "now champagne?"
"If you order champagne I'll have those shorts down around your ankles before midnight," he warned me and I did a gagging motion, to which he simply laughed.
"Disgusting," I commented and looked back to the room service menu.
"I was kidding," he cooed out before walking over and wrapping his arms around my waist from behind.
"Were you really?" I questioned him, "it's not the first time you come with such hints."
"You're still a minor Love, I'm not gonna break the law," he hummed and placed a small kiss behind my ear.
"Depends on where we are," I reminded him, making him let out a small laugh.
"So what you're saying..." he trailed off and slid a hand up under his hoodie to rest his hand on my stomach.
"Nope," I shook my head at him, "if you want to follow the rules that is about minors here you have to speak English to me," I stated, "which means... as long as you speak Korean to me, I'm still a minor."
"Point taken," he hummed at me and patted my stomach before returning his hand back around my waist, on the outside of the hoodie, "you know. If you want champagne, order it."
"I do kind of want to see you tipsy," I hummed making him let out a small laugh, "but nah... I've mainly been joking around with it," I shook my head, "I just wanted to see your reaction to it."
"Ah... so mean," he commented and I simply shrugged before throwing the menu on the small desk in the room.
"You know... I do feel awfully tired," I commented and leaned my head back against his shoulder, "how about we just sleep and cuddle for celebration?"
"Sounds just fine with me," he stated.
Within seconds I was lifted off the ground and pulled down on the bed in Sunghoon's embrace as he threw the duvet over us.
"Have I told you I love you, today?" he questioned and pulled me in close to his chest.
"No."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
