"What?" I questioned as Sunghoon continued to sit and stare at me, making Jake slowly let go of me.
"Then explain," Sunghoon calmly stated, "what is it that I've been refusing to listen to?"
"I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown if you continue to speak so coldly to her, I swear to god I'm breaking at the seams," Jake muttered and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"I'm suing my mom," I calmly spoke and Sunghoon just nodded.
"So that's it? Right?" Sunghoon questioned the other boys, "she's suing her mom and that's why she's beside herself."
"Partially," Jay nodded, "I think it's more the reason she's suing."
"Which is?" Sunghoon looked over to me with an expectant look.
"She falsified my birthcertificate so that I would work more than I actually was allowed to at my age," I shrugged.
"Basically she's been working four hours more than she actually was allowed to, ever since she was... three?" Jay looked over to me and I just nodded, "and apparently that's why she said her birthday was December 31st, because that's what she's been told. Am I right?" he looked back to me as I just nodded.
"I've always celebrated my birthday the 31st," I quietly spoke, "I never knew about April 13th," I shook my head.
"So- so you knew nothing?" Sunghoon looked back to me as I hesitantly just shook my head making him drag a hand down over his mouth as he looked around the practice room, "and you knew absolutely nothing?" he looked back to me as I just shook my head, making him let out a small string of curses under his breath.
"Jake, I need a hug again," I muttered making Jake immediately pull me into his embrace.
"You know... I think this is the longest 'take five' we've ever had," Sunoo commented.
"Not now," Heeseung commented as I let out a small laugh.
"I don't know, she let out a small laugh," Jake stated making me hit his shoulder.
"You're such a snitch," I muttered making Jake let out a small giggle.
"Hold on," Jake stated before he let go of me and grabbed my arms, so that they were still stretched out, before I could see him stand up and another pair of shoes appeared in my view.
I quickly pulled my arms tightly into me in a quick motion as the person sat down across from me, and let out a small sigh. He softly grabbed my wrist and pulled my arms up around his neck as he wrapped his arms around my torso. I had missed this feeling and his scent, but I did not want to do this right now. He immediately pulled me in closer and I tried moving my arms away, just for him to pull them back up again.
"Don't," Sunghoon softly spoke.
"We'll give you a few minutes," Jake spoke up and I listened as I could hear their feet move around before it went silent and the door closed.
"Just... let me sit with you," Sunghoon spoke in a quiet tone.
"I don't want to," I shook my head, not even looking up.
"I know I was mean," he sighed, "but just... let me."
"I think mean is an understatement," I snorted and he let out a small sigh before pulling my head down to rest on his chest.
"I'm an idiot," he stated making me open my mouth to protest, but he just continued to ramble, "an extremely pathetic idiot. Out of all people I should be listening to you, but instead I only heard one small part of the story and just acted upon that knowledge. I should've listened, I should've been there, and I shouldn't have said what I said."
"You're an asshole," I muttered making him let out a small laugh.
"I really am," he agreed, "how do I make it up to you?"
"You don't," I shook my head making him sigh and pull me in tighter by holding onto my shoulders with one arm as the other stayed around my waist.
"I... I know how... how much of an asshole I've been," he sighed and I just hummed in agreement, "but there was a reason why I didn't break up with you when you asked me to."
"Good for you," I muttered making him let out a small snort.
"I'm serious Hana," he sternly stated, "I was mad, but I didn't want to break up with you. I ignored you, but I wanted to hold your hand so badly. I exited every room you entered, but I just wanted to pull you into my embrace. I slept in my own bed with my duvet, but I wanted to place it over you and get down beside you as well. I could hear you shiver each night and I wanted to move over to you so badly and place a kiss on your cheek before telling you that I would keep you warm. I've refused to listen to the whole story, but I was scared to hear the truth. I was scared that you were hurting badly and I couldn't do anything about it. All I wanted to do was keep you safe and happy, and I felt I was failing in every aspect possible."
I stayed silent as he let out a small sigh with a small laugh as I could feel him brush a hand through his hair.
"This... this was why you asked me what I age I would prefer to be dating, right?" he questioned and I just nodded against his chest, "truth is... I don't care."
"Of course you care, what nonsense are you saying," I commented with a snort.
"Truth is, I realized I don't care as long as it's you," he stated making my cheeks flame up. No matter how mad or pissed I was at him right now, I had to admit I felt a small fluffy and warm feeling by that statement.
"Oh..." I trailed off as he let out a small snort himself.
"God, now I feel embarrassed," he gushed making a small smile appear on my face, "I have one last question... is Jake your new safe place?"
"No," I shook my head.
"Then why did you continue to ask him for hugs?" he questioned in curiousity.
"You said it was your last question," I pointed out to him, making him let out a small sigh before giving me a small squeeze, "I asked him for hugs because it was the closest I got to yours."
"So you didn't replace me?" he questioned and I just shook my head making him let out a small hum before placing his chin on my head, "I'm gonna make it up to you."
"Give me your duvet," I stated and he let out a small laugh, "I'm freezing like hell lately."
"I'd rather come and warm you myself," he commented with a small spark of joy in his voice.
"Moving too fast Park. You haven't been completely forgiven yet," I shook my head making him let out a small huff.
"But I will be," he stated and I just hummed, just to give him some sort of answer, "I just need to know... the 'fuck you Park Sunghoon' part is still up for grabs, isn't it?"
"Shut up," I muttered and hit his chest, "it wasn't an invitation, it was a curse."
"Depends on how I decide to recieve it," he shrugged making me let out a sigh.
"When are the boys coming in again?" I questioned and looked over towards the door, making Sunghoon immediately place a kiss on my cheek and my eyes slowly widened.
"I'm kidding," he assured, "I know you don't want it yet," he assured and rubbed my arms before placing his chin on my shoulder, "I'll wait."
