January 2025
The only sound echoing in my ears was the slow breathing of Sunghoon and his heart's quiet beating in his chest, right under where my head rested.
Even though it wasn't much I could still hear how his heart sped up a tiny bit whenever we laid like this. It had gotten better with the years. In the beginning it sounded like he had been running a marathon whenever I was close enough to hear his heartbeat. But now it was much slower, still faster than normal, but it was a nice and steady pace.
My eyes kept drooping until I held them close, quietly enjoying the sensation of Sunghoon drawing small patterns on the lower part of my back, with delicate and soft touches from his slender fingers.
"Love?" Sunghoon slowly spoke up, making me hum and squeeze my arms slightly around his waist. I didn't want to verbally reply, I was too engulfed in the slow and calming atmosphere we rarely had in this career, "you there?"
"Of course," I quietly muttered as a small smile spread on my face.
"I want to get married this summer," Sunghoon spoke, making my eyes immediately open as I lifted my head from his chest. I was just quietly frowning up at him.
"So soon?" I quietly muttered in shock and he simply nodded his head.
"Didn't I say I couldn't wait to call you my wife?" He smiled softly as he reached over and ran a hand through my hair. Easily removing loose strands of my hair from my face, "I was thinking maybe some time in July or August... Would you like that?"
I frowned slightly as I chewed on my bottom lip. A small laugh escaped Sunghoon before I felt him press a kiss to my forehead.
"It's alright. Take your time," he assured making me just nod at him.
"How about July?" I offered making him raise his eyebrows at me, "the faster the better. But if we do it in June it'll be in Sunoo's birthday month. So rather have it be in July. Right?"
"Whatever you'd like," Sunghoon nodded at me with a small smile, "then let's.... Let's do it July 21st."
"Hmmm... The 21st," I hummed in an attempt to figure out which day of the week it was.
"I thought it would be a nice day... Since my birthday is the 8th and yours is the 13th... So you know... 8+13... 21," Sunghoon excused making a small grin spread on my face, "I just thought we could add some meaning to it."
"Hoonie?" I called out making him hum and look down at me, "I'm so in love with you."
Sunghoon took a few seconds to process what I said, before he just grinned widely and placed one hand over his eyes. A small laugh escaped his mouth as he leaned his head back against the pillow behind him.
"What? I'm serious," I complained to him trying to sit up further. But I was quickly hindered in that attempt, when Sunghoon tightened his grip around my waist and held me close to him.
"You still make me flustered, you know?" He admitted as he removed his hand from his eyes and looked at me, "and you still make me flustered because I am so in love with you."
"So... July 21st, 2025... The day I'll be married to possibly the most handsome man alive," I commented with a small amused smile. Sunghoon immediately let out a small laugh before just nodding at me.
"He sounds amazing," he commented and I immediately nodded.
"Oh, if only you knew," I immediately agreed, "he's lovely."
"Well, I hope you'll be happily married milady," he commented with a small laugh.
"Oh I will, without a doubt, kind sir," I replied with a small smile on my face.
"You better plan some dress shopping with Sunoo and Jay," Sunghoon commented and I just shook my head, "you'd rather get married in your pajamas."
"I already have a dress," I shook my head, making Sunghoon give me an amused look, "my grandma got all her wedding dresses restyled into one dress before she died and put it in her testament that for her future grand daughter or grand daughter in law to inherit the dress. So I got it."
"How many times was she married?" Sunghoon let out a small laugh.
"Two or three," I shrugged at him.
"I can't wait to see it," he smiled and pressed a small pecks to the tip of my nose.
"I can go get it. It's in the closet," I stated and pushed myself up from where I was laying. In less than a second Sunghoon had grabbed onto my elbows and just shook his head at me.
"I meant I can't wait to see it on you, on the day we get married," Sunghoon softly spoke, "I want to get overwhelmed by all the beauty you'll hold in that dress. I want to get overwhelmed by every single little ounce that is you on that day. I'll probably cry, for a rare time, but it's all worth it."
"Well... Then you better gather Jay and Jake to go get your tux... Unless you want to be in your pajamas," I pointed out making him let out a small laugh.
"Well, if you're going to look absolutely stunningly beautiful, I better live up to your looks and do my best at being as handsome as possible for you," he let out a small laugh.
"Shut up, you know you're always handsome," I commented with a small smile making him just softly smile in return.
"I want the summer to come faster," Sunghoon muttered and softly rubbed my back, "it can only go too slow now."
