"Why would you say that?" I question as we get closer to my house. She quickly looks away.

"I-I didn't mean to say it out loud." She says quietly.

"Why did you even think it?" I say, my voice raising a little bit.
"Because Tommy doesn't seem to like me!" She shouts. "Stop the car" She quickly yells. I pull over in the curb and she suddenly storms out, I get out.

"Where are you going?" I shout.

"Home!"

"Get in the car, Zoe"

"Why? Why should I?" She screams. I am confused at her sudden outburst...

"Because it is 1 in the fucking morning and it is freezing fucking cold! Get in the car. Now"

"I'm walking home, Adam" She snaps.

"That's no the way"

"I never said I was going to yours." She spoke blandly, running off.

I called out to her but by then she was already out of sight... What got into her?

ZOE
I just kept running. No matter what I thought, I followed my eyes and scent.
Here I am, standing in front of my house. Well, block of land now. The new owners had it demolished... They didn't even care what value it held dear to someone.... it was just bricks to them.
Falling to my knees, I just cried. I don't even know my own family... My Mom, she wasn't my real Mom, not by blood but by loyalty. She was my whole entire world and she was taken from me.

"What are you doing here?" A familiar Australian accent asked. I jumped to my feet and turned around. There stood Noah... The reason Adam nearly jumped off that cliff...

"Stay away from me" I growled with anger. He stood back slightly.

"I'm not here to cause drama, I'm here to apologise." he spoke softly and calmly.

"Apologise? You nearly made my father jump off a fucking cliff! How can you apologise for that?"

"You know it wasn't me, he had so many emotions pour out of him." Noah spoke quickly.

"Just, stay away from me. I'm a skank, remember?" I spat harshly.

"I didn't mean what I said." He replied. He looked at me with a sorrowful expression. The expression reminded me of Joel... Joel...

"I need to get home" I spoke quickly, turning around.
Noah grabbed my arm, making me face him.

"Home? Home where they all hate you? Home where they put a fake smile and attitude on whenever you're near? Is it the same home that makes YOU responsible for Isaac's death? Sauli's death!? Is that where you really want to go!?" He shouts, holding my arm ever so tight.

"How-how did you know about Isaac?" My voice trembled and my body felt weak. I was nothing compared to Noah. He was strong.

"Everyone knows. About how Sauli's gunman dealt with him while his brother looked on innocently." He spoke, hatred in his eyes.

"Please, just let me go home." I pleaded. He smiled, grimly.

"You ain't going no where, pretty lady"

ADAM
I arrived home, everyone asking one question.
'Where is Zoe' I could barely answer them. Hayley, Monte, Dad and Neil all left. All that was left were Tommy and I.

"Our wedding is in three days. We need Zoe" TJ spoke while pacing the small space in our room.

"She will come home." I try to reassure him but, I don't even believe those four words. Will she even come home?
My phone buzzes which makes TJ jump. I half smile at his actions and pick up the phone, reading the text.

"Who is it from?" TJ asks, my mouth hangs open as my eyes scan the screen twice.

"Zoe" I say blandly. "She isn't coming home. She isn't going to be there for our wedding. She says she is better off without hurting us." My voice almost breaks and I feel a pain inside, like someone just got a knife and dragged it across my chest.

"She's gone?" Tommy asks as he finally sits down in shock.
I nod my head.

She's gone.

WEDDING DAY
As I check everything over with the food and alter, I smile. I'm finally marrying the man I fell in love with. For all the right reasons. But something inside my chest hurt with every breathe.
Zoe wasn't here... It has been three days since she just left. Leaving only a single text. I had wanted to sus it out more but I couldn't seem to get a hold of her... Hayley told me she probably needed space but Monte said she wouldn't miss the wedding for the world. Others say she just needed to do what's best, but even then, I want her here.

"He's on his way! Everyone get ready! Adam get your butt over here!" Neil shouted from the alter where he was standing next to the pastor. He was my best man. Monte is Tommy's.
Everyone was seated and was silent as we waited for Tommy and Dad to arrive. Dad had no hesitation to accept walking Tommy down the aisle as Tommy had lost his dad early on, it was in memory of him.

But that's when he arrived. Everyone stood up but I didn't even take notice of them as soon as my eyes were laid on him. To other people, he looked like an ordinary man in a suit, but to me, he was my whole world. He was the lightbulb I needed.
He smiled but kept his head down, I guess his shyness was kicking in.

-skip pastor thingy and now to their vows-

"Thomas Ratliff, when I first met you, I knew you were going to be someone special in my life, but I didn't know you were going to become my husband. You have saved me from my own self destruction. You still owe me that bathroom door" I laughed softly. "I don't even know how to thank you, you were there for me when I dealt with Mom's death and I can never repay you, I will always be in your debt. But if you can accept my love as a payment, will pay that to you until I take my last breathe because I love you so much" The room fills with people awing and some even crying. Hayley was surrounded by tissues.

"Adam Lambert" He started. The glint in his eye that just reminded me how in love I was. "I remember meeting you, we were in a small coffee shop where I worked, you were just starting out as a teacher, fresh out of collage, you accidentally broke a glass and I swear you said sorry over a thousand times and even said don't call the police" He laughed and smiled. "As cheesy as it sounds, I knew you were the one. You were in a relationship at that time and when that broke down, you, you were a mess and I was the one to help you. I was there for you always. And you have helped me survive. You have been by my side throughout the numerous times I tried to take my own life, you were there for me to tell me I was worth it and in the end I made it. I made it because of you, because of my friends. The things we have been through, are nothing no couple should go through and they were tough times. But because of how much I love you, I'll always be there for you. Even if you nail your hand to a door" The room erupted in laughter.
-more priest things- (I don't know how weddings work)

"You may now kiss your lawfully wedded husband"

I kissed him softy yet with so much love. I felt him smile into the kiss as I pull away softly. Keeping our heads touching.

"Te amo" i whispered softly.

"Ditto" he winked. My head shot up and I smiled at everyone.

"Whose up for some fucking cake!" I yelled as everyone stood up.

After almost everyone came over and said congratulations, I looked into the crowd to see a familiar face but her eyes seemed tired, dark circles were around them. She turned around and ran.

Zoe.
