Chapter 22~The Attack And Waking Up

Mainly focused on Zoe in this chapter but I hope you like xox I have noticed I have been updating these chapters pretty regulary, I just have so many ideas and I am so glad at how this story is coming together! And trust me, it is getting happier in the next few chapters, including a wedding but that is a wait away ;)

ADAM
"Dad!" Zoe yelled as I entered my house. My head throbbed as I walked. "Dad please, I am so sorry, I don't know why I acted the way I did, please. I am sorry." She cried. I didn't even look up at her. I went upstairs to my room and shut the door behind me. I heard more voices downstairs and knew that Monte was now home.

Tommy...he's in a coma. They don't know for how long, they said he lost so much blood that his body just shut down, and because he was still recovering from the almost overdosed, it made it worse.

"Adam?" Hayley spoke softly at my door. She came in and sat down next to me.

"I promised him I would protect him from everything. I couldn't even protect him from himself" I cry. Her arms wrap around my neck.

"Adam, we're going to get through this, Monte said that he could wake up soon. It's just a waiting game."

"Just like it was with Zoe."

"Adam.."

"Can you just leave, please" I say sternly, Hayley sighs heavily and leaves the room, I wrap up in my blankets that smell like Tommy and cry.

ZOE

"He doesn't want to talk" Hayley spoke while walking downstairs. Why the fuck did I say what I said?

"Zoe, why did you say that to Tommy? You know how sensitive he is with the whole Sauli topic." Monte speaks sternly.

"I don't know why I said that, I feel so fucking bad"

"You should!" Hayley yells. "Adam is slowly destorying himself AGAIN and Tommy is in a coma. This was THEIR night and you had to ruin it. They were supposed to be happy and you couldn't let them could you?" She stares at me, I stare back defeated. She shakes her head.

"You don't fucking know me, I have known Adam longer than you!" I yell back.

"You don't think I know that? I know all about you, how your parents died, Adam took you in and that led to so much fucking shit. Pull your head from your ass and see you're not the only one with problems, Ms Campell." Hayley snapped. She scoffed and walked out the door, slamming the door behind her.

Everyone looked so awkward.

"I'm sorry, she's just so emotional lately." Monte spoke quietly. He followed soon after.

"I'm going to go" Joel spoke before leaving, I sat at the kitchen table.

"I don't know what to do. I screwed up big time even saying that to him. I regret it" I cry as I place my head into my hands.

"Look, Adam needs some time to cool down. Just go in there when he's calmed down, we both know he can't really stay angry at anyone." Eber says trying to comfort me.

"You don't understand, I made them both hate me"

"Zoe, they don't hate you." Neil spoke.

"Just you go upstairs and get some sleep, when you wake up, Adam should be calmed down. We need to get home. We're just a phone call away." Eber spoke, he kissed my forehead before leaving with Neil.

I walked upstairs to my room and locked the door behind me.

'You've done it this time, haven't you?' The voice inside my head laughed with evil. I clawed at my head.
