Chapter 38~ Baby Surprise And Fighting..

"Hayley I am so happy for you!" Zoe says happily as she hugs Hayley and Monte. I look at Adam who is sitting across from me.

Finally I am at home, Zoe is back living with us, she seems so much happier, she hasn't showed signs of anything wrong. I look at Adam who is smiling, he looks over at me and blushes a little. I pull out my phone and text him,

"Should we tell them?"

"Up to you, Glitterbaby"
I gulp as I look at him. Now is the time... I stand up slowly.

"Hey guys, I have something very important to tell you all." I say softly, they all quiet down and look at me. Adam stands and stands next to me.

"We have thought about this for a very long time due to us wanting a family, we were nervous to make the right descision or even to tell you guys but since Hayley has revealed her little joy, we will too." Adam speaks softly. Zoe has her hand over her mouth. Before he could speak again, his phone rings. He looks at it and walks out the back.

"I can't tell you guys until Adam is back." I laugh softly, scratching the back of my head.

"Man, you both had me on edge, you can't just leave us on a cliffhanger like that" Hayley laughs as Monte holds her from behind.

"Probably just Adam's new manager." I say.

"No." adam says suddenly, I hadn't even heard him come back in. "That was Eliza, our surrogate." He looks down sadly. "She has decided to keep the baby."

"Baby?" Zoe yells softly. "You guys were going to have a baby?"

"Were" Adam speaks as he sits down. The room fills with a silence.

"Adam, we will find someone else, trust me" I speak as I sit down next to him.

"It took us too long to even find Eliza" He sighs deeply.

"Hey guys, sorry if this is a bad time but we have to go." Hayley spoke, standing up.

"That's fine, Hay. See you Tuesday for the dinner?" I say as I try to comfort Adam, he seems so shattered...

"Of course, see you then" Monte replied as they left.

"I'm going to bed" Adam says blandy, walking straight upstairs. I inhale sharply.

"Is he going to be okay?" Zoe asks, worry written on her face.

"Just give him time, he was so excited for this and it just got taken straight from him..."

"Hey Dad." She says suddenly. Dad...? She sees me as a father figure? "Do you think Dad would be angry if I went back to school?"

"Anigma?"

"Yes, I just want to do year 11 and 12..." She looks down.

"Zoe, I am sure it will be fine. School comes back in less than three weeks, I will talk to Adam about re-enrolling you, have you spoken to Joel lately?"

"He hates me..."

"I don't think he does, sweet, just ring him, get him over so you two can talk."

"Dad took my phone, remember?" She laughed sarcastically.

"We have a house phone for a reason, now go get some sleep, okay?" I smile as I go upstairs to the bedroom, I close the door behind me.

Adam was sitting on the bed, he looked up at me, smiling. I sat down next to him and wrapped my arms around him.
