Chapter 20~Healing and Old Friends#Pt 1

ZOE
As my eyes open, the sunlight comes shining into my bedroom window and to my eyes. I check the alarm clock next to me, 7;12 am. Adam should be awake. He has a gig in two hours.
I head downstairs to see Adam and the band conversing while eating breakfast.

"Hey sleepyhead" Monte spoke as he saw me, Hayley smiled and Issac was way to concentrated in his food.

"Morning guys" I smiled before heading to the stove. "This mine?" I question at Adam, bacon and eggs were my favourite.

"Yeah of course, and there is some orange juice in the fridge, pulp free the way you like it." Adam replies, while texting. I get my drink and food and sit down across from Hayley and Monte who were being the happy cute they have been for awhile. They truly are meant for each other.

That's what I thought about Adam and Tommy, that reminds me, they need to fix their issues. They are broken without each other, Adam may not show it but he is hurting. And Tommy, well he's in hospital isn't he? What else does that say?

"Tommy know you have a gig today, Adam?" I ask, the talking stops and everything seems to get tense around us.

"He doesn't need to worry about the band, he needs to worry about himself." Adam spoke putting his plate into the sink.

"Tommy loves the band, you guys are his life." I say.

"Zoe, we think it's best he takes time away from the band, I mean, he's in hospital, he needs to recover." Monte spoke. I stood up.

"He is in hospital because he took time away from the band, he chose to shut himself out from you guys and look what happened." By now, I don't know if I am not making sense, they can't be giving up on Tommy can they?

"He CHOSE to shut us all out. We didn't make him, Zoe" Adam says with impatientce in his voice. I know better to argue with Adam this early, espically when he has a gig in a few hours.

"Why can't you forgive him, Adam? He is clearly sorry he cheated, he was intoxicated" I say with hurt.

"It can't be over for you two, you can make it work."

"Zoe, please" Adam spoke sternly. "We can talk about this later"

"We're talking about it now!" I yell as he goes to walk out the room. "Everyone in this room knows that you and Tommy need each other, you're both falling apart and you think I am just going to stand here and let that happen?"

I look at Adam to see his eyes locked onto something behind him. I turn to see Tommy.

"I-I uh- I did knock but-um-no one replied but I heard you guys talking, so I-I let myself in, if you don't mind" Tommy spoke. He looked down. I looked back at Adam and noticed how Adam's eyes got a light back in them as soon as he saw Tommy, they seriously need to just kiss and get it over with.

ADAM

"No, it's-it's fine" I spoke with a small smile. Zoe looked at me, rasing her eyebrow. How I have missed that.

"You OK, man?" Monte asked at Tommy. Tommy's head shot up and he chuckled nervously.

"Yeah sorry." He spoke.

"Why are you so nervous? You used to live here" Hayley laughed a little, casuing Tommy to smile.

"It's just how I am, I can know you for years and still get shy around you" He chuckles.

"Tommy, can I talk to you alone?" I ask softly. Tommy nodded and I walked towards my room.

I shut the door behind me and Tommy looked so nervous, it was adorable.

"Adam, I am truly sorry I didn-" I cut Tommy off by kissing his lips. His sweet lips that I have missed so much. I pulled away.

"You're everything I need, Tommy Ratliff." I smirked.

"Does this mean Adommy is back?" He laughed softly. That was the Tommy I missed, his cute ass laugh.

"Of course silly." I kissed his lips again, pushing him onto the bed where I stradled him. His hands went through my hair and he playfully tugged it, earning a moan from me. I pulled away from the kiss and kissed his neck, causing him to moan, gotcha. I looked at him and just stared into his eyes.

"Your phone's ringing" Tommy spoke in a whisper. I sighed as I rolled off Tommy and standing.

"Adam speaking" I said as I answered the phone.

"Adam, your gig is in one hour, where are you?" My agent spoke, shit is it that late already?

"I'm on my way." I spoke, hanging up. I looked back at Tommy and sighed heavily. He stood up and kissed me softly.

"We have a gig to get to" He smirked as he walked out, his cute little butt made me laugh. We walked back into the lounge room to see the band playing monopoly.

"The game that ruins friendships." I laugh.

"Well considering my boyfriend refused to get me out of jail." Hayley glared Monte who simple kissed her.

"We have to go to the studio, now" I spoke, getting my keys and placing my phone in my pocket.

"Did you guys sort it out?" Zoe asked.

"Of course" Tommy laughed, making me look down at my feet.

"Finally!" Monte laughed. That's when I realised Zoe isn't allowed to go out to public events like this, not just yet. Police rules.

"Zoe?" I spoke.

"I know Adam, just have fun." She smiled softly. I kissed her on the forehead,

"I love you" I smiled as we all went out to the cars.

As everyone leaves, I go up to my room and check my phone, I have a missed call? Who in the world? I dialled the number and sat on my bed.

"Hello?" A young mans voice spoke on the other end. His voice...the guy from starbucks. The guy that sounded so familiar!

"Hey, I had a missed call from this number." I spoke.

"Zoe..?" He spoke. "Is that really you?"

"How did you get this number?" I asked, ignoring his question.

"That doesn't matter, what matters is you're alive."

"Who is this?!"

"Joel" My heart beat faster.. Joel?
