I finally figured out the days, by thankfully sneaking a look at Seonghwa's agenda. Today is a Sunday, October 1st. The beginning of the fiscal year and the beginning of Telegram's downfall. I was brimming with confidence no, rather arrogance.

And I had decided to create a different protocol that would modify our team to function more efficiently. And this protocol required all levels of professionalism.

Beanie bags are abandoned, all seven of us were seated in chairs with notebooks and pencils in our hands. Some were nervous, as they shook their legs of looked around, others were wearing their special smiles of confidence.

As the leader and facilitator, I coughed my throat and snapped my fingers so everyone around the circle would turn their eyes on me.

"Weekly meeting number 1, starting at 13:30."

Some shot their eyebrows, others squinted their eyes in suspicion, Mingi gasped in typical Mingi fashion.

The only one without a reaction was our dear psychiatrist. A beige trenchcoat was draped over his shoulders, while he was decked in a black turtleneck complementing chocolate slacks with a pair of impeccably polished obsidian oxfords that glared underneath the fluorescent lights. Those golden spectacles were a spectacular touch to his resting bitch face that remained unbothered.

"Okay then let's get into old business. Any updates for Euphoria's fathers?"

Jongho stood up and read from his notebook with a firm voice demanding attention, "Choi Junho has been sent to a mental ward for exhibiting 'erratic and 'abnormal' behavior. Little chance for him to return. Jake Lee was assigned to Jeju Correction Facility's rehabilitation program. He was the chosen inmate to be released. Seeing his improved records the program could be considered a success."

"Well, what happened within terms of his release?"

"20 hours ago it was confirmed that he was returning to his old gang. Of course, we supported him and wrote a false letter of recommendation to the captains since if he weren't released then it'd be a hassle for us. However, a potential warning is that his leadership prowess could hinder our plans and even steal some of our power. And since especially since he's off-post, he has a dangerous amount of free-"

"What about the contract?"

Yunho sneered, "Of course releasing into the free world came with a cost. It's officially signed. He'll be sending us some big bucks soon. Expect a weekly pay of 15% of his income."

"15%? Isn't that too small? Especially if he's staring out as an independent gang his paycheck will barely exceed 30,000 annually," Jongho was clearly flustered by our deal, "that is, if considered he's lucky. Most gangs don't make it out alive because the Tiger Trinity holds such a monopoly."

"Should we demand more?" Yeosang inquired.

"No," I replied, "Jake will take advantage and rob us. Assuming his personality, I know he'll hire his own laborers to do the dirty work and probably found his own gang. If he does then let him be. I don't trust him, but he's smart enough to know his limits. He's already confined to the laws of a contract and if he breaks the law then he'll come right to prison. And if we force him into a position where he is ultimately trapped then it'll cause resentment which will become our downfall. Since he's now a freed civilian he has more financial freedom than us so we must treat him with respect and not push his buttons. He is a partner, not a subordinate."
