"Good afternoon Mars."

"Hello my oracle!"

Accompanied by two guards, Mars enters through the door without cuffs choking his ankles and wrists. Recent reports state that Mars Park has been exhibiting "civilized" behavior which I guess is successful for now and he has therapy appointments with me two times a week after lunch. The term therapy is a blanket term for telling the story.

Mars sits down and sticks his hands together like two puzzle pieces. One eyebrow is raised and I realize that he has a small face tattoo of a shooting star on his left eyelid. I find it peculiar since his name is a planet.

He clears his throat.

"So, what happens when Wooyoung gives Hongjoong the pen?"

"Well, guess."

It takes an astonishing long time for Mars to think because the it's rather simple.

"Uh...stab someone with it? Maybe even use the ink to poison someone?"

"No."

"Wait what?"

Chucking at his confused condition, I say, "Well I think you forgot that he's new to the crime world."

"Well are you justifying something? Oh wait...yeah if he's new then he wouldn't stab people cuz he's too soft. So-"

Ignoring his thinking I pull a piece of paper out of my folder. "To say it short, he used the pen to write."

Mars' eyebrow raises again while his voice holds a hint of annoyance.
"What does he write?"

"Hoongjoong's dream was to be a musician. He wrote lyrics in his spare time. But he never accomplished that dream as you can see here."

"Oh really?"
"Yeah..."
"Oh. Poor him."

Taking out a ziplock bag I unleash the strains. Inside are a neat stack or tarnished teal paper. It's a diary I kept from all those years.

Mars takes a look at inked writing.

"Interesting..."

"Wake up fucker!"

The usual morning routine. It's been three days since my enlistment to prison. A bruise was formed on the place where he kicked me. He kicked me there on purpose.

Everyday seemed like a fresh opportunity to earn an early release. But reality had other plans. Inmates started cleaning up the room; each individual was forced to clean their own belongings and set them neatly, in perfect inspection order, underneath their cabinets.

Outside the cell we could hear the footsteps of the police men. Scurrying from finishing touches, we all stand in line . As soon as the door clicked, Du Ho, the cell leader threw his balled up shirt right over my pile. I run over to take it away but a police guard trips me, making me fall over.

"Newbie, get you shit together. That's one Hello Kitty sticker for you."

My shoulders slumped while I dejectedly stared at the ground admist the snickers. Right under the tiny window was an inmate attendance board. Every time a prisoner failed to adhere to juvenile rules, they would be punished in Hello Kitty. A prisoner would receive an extended jail sentence if there were more than ten Hello Kitty stickers. The police took notes of when and how each prisoner got a sticker had a security camera flashing right at the attendance board.
