In the vivacious night that can never end
When no one can see
The ground burns with the flame in the breeze
Embers can fall like snow
And warm the soul
But if one isn't careful
They may go cold
In the midst of this
A girl, very young
Climbs over the horizon in search of the sun
And her one true love
Stands, clutching to her chest the letter of her heart
A staccato of emotions
Unknown to her
Confuse her in which way to turn
Out of the darkness come figures
Past loved or imagined
With smooth, deep voices
Kisses fall gently
Face upturned, she hopes to catch one on her lips
And opens her eyes to see they have gone
She scolds herself again for stopping
No time must be wasted
Continue climbing horizons she must
In search of the sun
And her beloved
