A simple thought about how motherhood would be.
So soft and easily bruised
Just like you who I hold in my arms
As I bite into their flesh
I remember how ours used to mesh
Nectar dribbles down your chin
And I am reminded of your scent
Gentle and unique
The way it will always be
You and I, underneath the peach tree
Even if you grew up and moved away
They would always remind me of how you used to be my baby
