Desert wind
When I am young
Prickle my skin
As I open my door
My friend you are welcome
I listen for your roar
Wild as a lion
Warm as the sun
Desert wind
When I am grown
Teach my children
What we already know
Tickle their faces
When they open my door
Our friend you are welcome
We listen for your roar
Still wild
Still warm
Desert wind
When I am old
Bring me your secrets
In a golden bowl
Warm my face
As I open my door
Still strong
Still warm
Untouched by time
My friend you are welcome
Once again,
Once more
