The truth was taken away from me
Illusions swapped for reality
We only see the anatomy
Of a world built falsely to deceive
My senses abused and misdirected
So caught up in this misconception
The poison working its way to my core
Sure, it's choking me but still I want more
My true self knows it's plain to see
That chasing this feeling of ecstasy
Is slowly
Killing me
Yet it feels like velvet
And tastes like sugar
Dazzles like diamonds
And sounds like music
No matter how I try
I can't stop loving this lie
The one making my choices is the devil inside
Even when I know that if I don't change my comprehension
That this is the way that I'm going to die
Cause death's kiss is the sweetest thing if I die dreaming "happily"
