This is a reflection of when i first began to find myself, and how amazing it felt to finally embrace my passion for writing and art.
Fumbling for the warmth of the lighthouse
Arms outstretched, hands feeling what eyes can't see
Not turning back, for all that was left behind me
Was a darkened city
A spark seeking to be reunited with the fire
I crossed the waters of my uncertainty
Leaving watchful ripples in my wake
So rousing the drowsy sands from their rest.
As the rising sky stretched and opened
The winds reached down, unclasping my ankles
Freeing me from this barren wasteland
Rising towards the brighter light beyond
I outstretched my arms, letting the heat melt my waxed shell and reveal my illumination
As the flames wrapped me in their passionate embrace, accepting me to become one with
The fire of all things
Joined with the chorus of others who found the light
Blazing
Higher
