My Abstract

Painted parts of me seeping

Mohagony tinged in black undertoned in caramels

Foamy peaches and creams along with the occasional pink

Hence the reds come forth; scarlets, burgundy and those dried up reds from periods past

Accompanied by magenta maroons and splays of brown that swirl my mirror canvas reflecting who I am

Creating my abstract

The edges where the most color collects blur into that grey

Which other people are supposed to be marred with

But my greys are fluted by mute washes of lavender and blue

Leaving others to wallow in their own.

My eyelashes flick dizzying specks of storms and blood in flashes, onto the canvas

Stirring starkly the bitterest of my tears and my love for darkness

Longing absent-mindedly for that peice that seems to be missing from my whole

Still the light doesn't fail to grace my irises with its frail flower that returns each dawn,

Awakening softly the true spirit within
