Just so you know
Those times I sat curled up on the bed with angry tears I said "Shoot" when I really wanted to say everything else
I heard somewhere that cursing has the same effect as painkillers
And I used to wish that saying a couple of words could erase all the pain from all the times you called me "Stupid"
All of the times you laughed in my face
The times you didn't trust me
Hurt
The times you ripped out my voice box and held it there as it silently screamed
Shutting me down with a torrent of unreasonable questions while you said time and again "Answer me"
The times you hit me when it wasn't even my fault
The only fault being etched unmercifully onto my face
If only a couple of words could erase the pain-
No, it would never do. It doesn't work that way.
