A woman and a tree
Chains clinking, tied to truck beds
Away from their native lands
Already beaten from the battle to keep it
Now they watch, pained, sticky sweet tears sliding, as it is taken in their oppressors hands
As they look for the last time at the ground
And as one let their spirits lift to the skies
