Chapter 54: First Date

Third Person's POV

Sophia looked at herself in the mirror. She is wearing a silk maroon embroidered gown with a full-length black cloak over it.

Mileya fixed her hair into waterfall braids. She only braids across the top part of the lady's hair, leaving the rest free. The braid creates a 'cascading' effect, perfectly paired with a soft wave hairstyle. She adds dutch delicate hair slides for a lovely effect. She also does her light makeup.

Sophia sighed. "Sa pag-aayos pa lang, nakakapagod na."

Mahahalata sa mukha niya ang pagkabagot. Nakasimangot ito habang bagsak ang parehong balikat.

"You have to make an effort for your first date with him. If you do not want him to sulk again," Mileya responded. Humakbang ito paatras upang pagmasdan ng mabuti ang dalaga.

"Sophia, he's here waiting outside," Klein announced.

Nilingon nila ang lalaki sa may pintuan. Hawak-hawak ng elf ang doorknob habang nakasilip ang ulo nito para sila ay tanawin.

"We're finished here," Mileya answered back to her husband.

"I gotta go. Thank you for your assistance," Sophia said without looking at her.

"No problem," she replied.

Nang makalabas si Sophia ng silid, natanaw niya si Killian sa dulo ng hagdan. The man is wearing a dark brown suit, formal white long sleeves inside with a brown wool tweed vest on top, and a burgundy tie. His shoe wear is the Oxford, made of black leather. His hairstyle is a mid-length taper that makes him look cool and masculine.

Napalingon si Killian sa direksyon ng dalaga nang marinig ang mga yapak nitong palapit sa kinaroroonan niya. Naistatwa siya sa kinatatayuan. Medyo napaawang ang labi at unti-unti ring bumibilis ang tibok ng puso niya. Natulala ang binata ng nasaksihan ang kabuuan nito. Sinundan niya ito ng tingin hanggang sa huminto si Sophia sa harapan niya.

"Galaw-galaw, baka ma-stroke," pabirong sabi ng dalaga.

Tumikhim si Killian saka tinama ang postura nito. "Let's go?" he asked.

Inangat niya ang kaniyang palad upang alukin ito ng pag-akay sa paglalakad. Malugod naman itong tinanggap ng dalaga. Hawak-kamay nilang nilisan ang lugar.

Nahinto sila sa tapat ng magarbong karwahe na pagmamay-ari ni Killian. Itim ang kulay nito, malinis at makintab ang pagka barnis. In front, the coachman is wearing a black tuxedo with his homburg hat. He is holding the white horse leather halter and a whip in his right hand.

Inalalayan ni Killian si Sophia upang maingat na makaakyat papasok sa loob, saka siya sumunod. Naupo siya sa tabi ng dalaga dahilan para tingnan siya nito ng may pagtataka.

"You should be there," turo ni Sophia sa katapat na upuan. Gano'n kasi ang alam niyang etiquette … hindi nagtatabi ang lalaki at babae sa loob ng karwahe.

"Why would I? You're here," he said with a straight face.

She breathed out a sigh. "Suit yourself."

He holds her right hand with his left. They remained silent on the way until they reached their destination. Killian got out first to assist Sophia on her steps.

The lady examined the place, which is currently in front of the Opera House located near the Imperial Palace.

"Today's play is popular among aristocrats. It is about the tale of Romeo and Juliet," he said.

"Really?" Mahahalata sa boses niya ang pagkatuwa sa narinig. "I watched its film from my previous life. I didn't try to see it in a stage play," she thought.
