Enjoy the chapter! ________________________________ Clarke Griffin POV: I woke up in my bedroom at Polis, feeling a warm presence beside me. I slowly turned around, my eyes meeting Lexa's sleeping face. I smiled to myself, remembering how close we had gotten and how much closer I wanted to get. I slowly stretched, careful not to wake Lexa up. After last night, I didn't ever want to sleep without her again.
Flashback: As soon as Lexa's lips left mine, she pressed our foreheads together. "Thank you." She whispered. "For what?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "For caring. I know sometimes I'm not the most understanding... or easy to work with for that matter. So... thank you for staying with me." She said. A tear slipped down my cheek. "I know how hard it is for you to trust people Lexa. So thank you. For letting me in and giving me a chance to see that beautiful side of you that not a lot of people get to see." I said. Lexa stood up, holding her hand out. "I think it's time to leave." She said, looking into my eyes. I nodded, grabbing her hand and not letting go as she lead me to the car. The car ride back was relaxing. There were no worries and we were just two girls in lo- exploring their feelings. As we pulled up to polis, Lexa let go of my hand and hopped out of the car. My body missing the contact immediately. My disappointment quickly faded away as I saw Lexa open my car door and extend her hand for me to take. I did so happily and we made our way to the building. Once we got to the door I tried to pull my hand out of hers, afraid of what her people would think, but she stopped me and just held on tighter. "Lexa." I hissed. "Your people-" "My people wouldn't dare say anything out of line or disrespectful to their commander." She said, basically dragging me through the door. As we walked towards the elevator we definitely got all kinds of looks and stares but nobody dared to say anything, though Titus (tit-ass) looked like he was fuming. As we entered the elevator I felt Lexa's grip loosen and she stood in front of me. "See? Nobody would say anything unless they wanted their tongue chopped off." She said, pressing one of the many elevator buttons. As the elevator dinged she led me out and stopped in front of my door. She opened it first and let me in before stepping inside. "Please don't be afraid to tell me if this is to forward but I-i would like to go out with y-you sometime." She said, shifting from foot to foot. The great commander was nervous. "I would love to go out with you something Lexa. But In the meantime I'm not ready to go to bed yet. Would you mind keeping me company for awhile?" I said, smiling hopefully. "I would love to keep you company, Clarke. Just let me change and I'll be back in like five minutes." She said, turning on her heel and walking out of the door. She was definitely time efficient because it hadn't even been three minutes before there were a series of knocks on the door. I was now changed into my night clothes and walked towards the door. I opened the door and let Lexa in. "So what do you feel like watching?" She said as she plopped herself on the couch. "Well there's that new Cruella De Vil movie we could watch?" I said, waking over to the mini kitchen to receive the bag of popcorn I put in a few minutes ago. "Okay, let's do it." She said grabbing the remote and turning the movie on.
"I hope I haven't pushed my limits by asking to take you out sometime." Lexa said while reaching for some popcorn. "No! I-i mean no, Not at all. I'd love to go out with you." I said, placing my hand on top of hers. She instantly looked down towards our hands and I thought she was uncomfortable so I pulled my hand back. Before I could fully retrieve it, she pulled it back and intertwined our fingers. "I was thinking we could go out later in the week. I need a little time to plan it. I-if that's okay with you." She said fiddling with our intertwined fingers. "It's more than alright with me Lexa." End Of Flashback:
I was snapped out of my thoughts by Lexa, who's eyes had snapped open. "Good morning Clarke. How did you sleep?" She asked. "So much better with you next to me Lexa." I said leaning over and cupping her cheek. We got dressed, showered (separately of course) and got ready for the rest of the day. ________________________________ Completely unrelated A/N: So idk abt you guys but I personally love DC. But I was kinda pissed at myself for liking Wallis day as Kate. I loved ruby and now I'm just torn between whose better. Also... batmoore deserved so much better. (Both very fine women in my opinion 😩😅🤫) IMPORTANT A/N: Soooooo.... I may or may not have to drop my 3-7 day schedule bcuz I don't wanna lie and just have you guys waiting on me. Don't get me wrong I'll still try my hardest to keep it... jus no promises this time (sorry I'm get really busy around this time of the year. Not to mention it may be like this when school snd work starts back up for me). Also this story may come to an end soon seeing as I'm running out of ideas to keep it going. I know I could use the mountain men as like a bump in the road or whatever but honestly to me it kinda seems unnecessary. But if you guys really want me to write it let me know.
