Clarke POV:
Me and Octavia held each other for the rest of the night after she talked to Raven and convinced her that she was okay, after telling her what happened. Neither of us was asleep, or even relatively tired, but it was clear that Octavia was 100 times more shaken up and scared than I was. Her breathing eventually evened out at around three in the morning. A few minutes after she had fallen asleep, I carefully pried her off of me and headed to our kitchen to get some coffee. Was I shaken up? Sure, who wouldn't be? But there was a strange comforting feeling about the person that fought the assassin. Something all to familiar. Like we had met before. I made the decision to not tell anybody about this mysterious savior of ours. Even though I'm sure Octavia was too deep in her state of shock to register the fight before I grabbed her and booked it.
I finished my coffee and went back to my room after checking that Octavia was still sleeping soundly. I grabbed my laptop but before I could enter my password my phone started ringing. It was my mother. I completely forgot about her. As soon as I hit the accept button all I heard was a panicked "Clarke! Clarke honey are you okay?! They sent me a message explaining what happened and that some students ended up in the hospital!" She said very worried and flustered. "Mom, mom calm down I'm okay. Me and Octavia are okay she's just sleeping in her room." I say trying to calm her nerves. She lets out a relieved sigh. "Oh thank God. I was so worried, when I read the message I immediately assumed the worst. I lost your father, I can't imagine what I would do if I lost you." She said, sobbing. "I know mom I'm okay I promise, I'm not going anywhere." I said after she stopped sobbing. "Okay well I need to go back to sleep hun, I have work in the morning, just wanted to make sure you were safe." She says a lot calmer. "Okay, bye mom." I say. I hang up the phone and entered my laptop password. Sure enough, when I look on our local news's main site our school shooting was the first thing I saw. I shut my laptop angrily and went back to Octavia's room to see her shaking and whimpering. I quickly go and hold her and she visibly calms down. Eventually I lay down next to her and drift off to sleep. When I wake up, I check my watch. It reads 2:45 pm. I stretch my limbs and go to the kitchen to see O drinking a glass of water. I walk to the fridge and grab some juice. While I'm pouring it she asks, "how are you feeling?" "I'm good, well as good as I can be considering what happened last night." I say truthfully. "How are you, and don't say that you're fine because you where shaking in your sleep." I state searching for an answer in her eyes. "I'm scared, Clarke." She says, shakily. If I were an inch further I probably wouldn't have heard her. I take a seat next to her and urge her to lay her head on my shoulder. We continue to talk about random things, trying to take our minds off of the situation. She gets a phone call from Bellamy and goes into her room to talk to him. I head to my room and shower, letting all of my current emotions wash away with the water. By the time I get dressed and go back to the kitchen, I see Octavia is eating ramen noodles. "Hey Clarke." She says. "Hey O." I say whiles grabbing a Lunchable from the fridge. "A Lunchable, really Clarke?" She asks. "What? I like them. Besides who likes ramen. It's basically salt and processed meat with uncooked noodles." I say in my defense. Octavia gasps and put a hand over her heart. "I'll have you know that ramen is better than any dumb kiddy lunchable that you could ever have!" She says, seriously. "Okay, okay you win ramen is better." I say putting my hands up in defeat, not wanting to argue with her. We go on like this for the rest of the week. Comforting each other and talking about it. I was enjoying this downtime. Before I knew it Sunday was here and I can hear Octavia on the phone with Raven before I fall asleep. I'm looking forward to having something to do with myself. But the thing I found myself the most excited for, was seeing forest green eyes.
