Shira landed on top of Ryan and looked up towards where they'd fallen. Max was already trying to climb back up, but the surface he was scaling was too smooth, and he fell back down.
He started pacing as the pair stood up.
"Well, now what?" Shira muttered.
Ryan was hesitant to go through with his plan, but... at the same time...
He slipped the stolen map into his inventory, and summoned his Keyblade, gesturing to Max.
"You sure about this?" His friend asked.
"...Yes."
"Huh?" Shira looked confused as the young man got onto his glider, and Max followed, getting into the other seat that had been installed.
"What are you--"
"I don't trust you. I can get there on my own."
"You don't have the... Wait. When did you...? You jerk!" She shouted when she saw him pull out the map.
Shira tried to stop them, but the glider blasted up towards the entrance, and she gazed up at them.
"You'll go get help, right?"
He hadn't exactly been planning on it.
"...I have to go." He said coldly.
"No, WAIT!"
And then they were gone, and she was alone again.
A rush of emotions filled her heart.
Anger.
Sadness.
And yet... it wasn't the first time someone had abandoned her like this.
~Flashback~
A Heartless shot something at them, and the ground gave way from the blow. Chester grabbed a rock that was sticking out, and then Shira's hand before she fell any further.
"Nngh..." He grunted, struggling to hold her up.
They stayed there for at least ten minutes before help arrived.
Two boys reached for Chester's hand.
"No, please! I-- I don't want to get stuck down there!...You'll go get help, right?"
He looked down at her, his expression stern-- there was no guilt in his eyes, which worried her.
"No! WAIT!" Without a moment's hesitation, he released his grip and grabbed his friend's hand to get to safety.
Her descent was not a pleasant one.
She rammed against sharp rocks, and it never seemed to end-- she'd even hit her head at some point, until finally her weak injured body, covered in bruises and dirt, landed on flat ground.
Completely exhausted and her breath heavy, she didn't even bother getting up. Instead, Shira curled herself up on her side... and let the tears spill out.
