"So... We almost there?" Ryan asked. They were now in a wide open field. Emerald grass as far as the eye could see. Animals roaming about, not a care in the world. Beautiful red and yellow flowers swayed in the gentle breeze. There wasn't a single cloud in the beautiful sky-- which was, at the moment, the same ice blue as Rachel's eyes.
"Not quite there yet." Shira replied
"Really? We've been walking for three days now!"
"Oh, stop whining!" Shira snapped irritably, "Seriously, I feel like I'm talking to a little kid!"
Max walked up next to his friend, talking out of earshot as the young woman continued forward.
"Do you really trust that she'll help you?" he asked.
"No, not at all. But I don't have much of a choice."
"Right."
When the stars began to twinkle against the endless black sky, and the moon was high above them, they set up camp for the night, ate dinner, and went to bed.
Shira woke them up early the next morning, and the duo followed after her.
They fought Heartless along the way, and as the young man's strength grew, so too did the darkness in his heart.
"So... Who is this guy?" Ryan asked.
"He's a wizard. He's very wise-- I'm sure he'll be able to help you."
Finally, the field came to a stop as Ryan contemplated Shira.
He didn't trust her one bit, but he needed her help.
Unless...
Yes. There it was. She had a map.
Now if only--
Then all of a sudden, the ground collapsed underneath them.
