She always had to remind herself what the master said to her-- all those years ago, when she came into existence by Maleficent's staff.

Shira slipped outside for a breath of fresh air while the master was away. There was a small village down below.
Hey! Maybe I should go say hi!
So she swooped down from the mountain, spread her wings and let the wind brush at her dark blue scales, closing her eyes-- they were unique as far as she knew, one blue and one red.
She touched down into the cool wet grass after staying in a dark creepy castle all her life. Ooh, it feels amazing! I sure was missing out for a while.
The Heartless that could feel moved towards a river, and drank from it-- it was so much more refreshing than the icky warm water back at the castle.
"Hey, look over there!"
"Whoaaa, what is that!?"
Shira's ears twitched, moving towards the voices. It turned out to be two children from the village, who looked as though they were staring at her.
But they couldn't be. She was...
The children ran towards her.
"She's so pretty."
Am not.
"Do you have a name?"
"I'm Shira."
"You can talk?"
"Well... yeah. Nothing special." She stared at the ground.
They ended up talking for hours-- she'd never had...
What were they called...?
That's right... "Friends".
"I have to go... Wasn't even supposed to be out here in the first place. Sorry if I bothered you..."
"Here!"
One of the children reached out and handed her a pink stuffed bear with blue buttons for eyes.
"F-for me? I'm not sure I deserve... Thank you."
She took it anyway, accepting the kind gesture.
"I... have to go-- my master will get angry with me. Goodbye."
Shira spread her wings and leapt into the air, making her way back towards the castle. She rushed back into her cell and curled up in a corner, hiding her precious gift.
~now~
Finally, Ryan gave up his fight.
"What's the point...? I don't even know why she wants me..." He stood there for what felt like forever.
"...Ryan! Ryan!"
Max ran into view, grabbed the key and opened the cell door. There was a click as his friend's restraints unlocked. The pair raced towards the door, but the Keyblade wielder stopped short.
