Riku sat on the beach, hugging his knees and watching the sunset. It had been about two weeks now, and Ryan still hadn't returned.

Footsteps interrupted his thoughts. He shifted his gaze and stood up.

"Terra..."

I failed your master Eraqus-- I'm not worthy of wearing his armor. You should take it back.

"Why are you here?" Riku asked.

Terra responded, "I came to cheer you up."

Oh, so you're not here to take back the armor I don't deserve.

Seeing Rachel again was probably the only thing that could cheer him up now, Riku thought.

"...I want to be alone right now."

That was a lie. He needed someone to keep him company, fill in the hollowed out space inside him. But he was torn between accepting help, or just keeping every problem locked up tight in the treasure chest of his heart.

He placed a hand on his throat, as a lump started to form.

"If you need someone to talk to..."

Like a rant party? He couldn't help but remember. That's what Rachel said when we first started to get to know each other. A rant party is... where we... Tears welled in his eyes at the memory.

Terra gestured, and Riku leaned on him, unable to hold it back any longer.

"It feels better once you let it out." The man said, rubbing Riku's back to comfort him. When the crying finally subsided, he backed away with a small sniff, feeling a little guilty at the fact that the front of Terra's shirt was now soaked.

"Did you really just come here to make me cry?" Riku asked.

"You feel better, right?"

"Yeah, thanks."

They went out for sea salt ice cream, and Riku finally managed a smile, knowing he and Rachel would see each other again.
