Chapter 14: He Knows

-Next morning-

I woke up the next morning in my bed.

'Minho must have carried me here last night' I thought.

I stayed in bed for a while just looking at the wooden ceiling of my room, until I heard a door open then close. Then I heard my door open then close. I looked over to see a sleepy Minho coming over to me.

"Good morning" he said in a groggy morning voice.

"Morning" I said, stretching and sitting up.

"I think Alby wants us to leave soon. I just wanted to say hi. So, hi." he said to me.

"Hey, I'll come down in a minute for breakfast. Just tell the boys to wait until I get down. I wanna see them before they leave." I asked.

"Yeah, of course" he replied while leaving, closing the door on his way.

I got out of yesterday's clothes and into todays. I was wearing a plain white cropped T-shirt and black leggings.

I went out to the kitchen to find all the boys deep in conversation. They hadn't even noticed me yet. So a walked up behind Newt and scared him.

"BOO!" I yelled into his ears.

"Holy shuck y/n!" he yelled out.

I started laughing of his choice of words. 'Shuck?' well that's going to be the new thing here.

"What the 'shuck' do you mean Newt? I didn't do anything." I said innocently.

Everyone except Newt started laughing the butt's off. "I hate you all." Newt said putting his head on the table.

"Oh, come on Newt. I'm just teasing you. Although 'shuck' is going to be used more often." I said laughing and patting his back.

I walked over to get my food and walked back to the table.

"We must get going. We need to show the greenie what we've found so far out in the Maze." Alby said to no one in particular.

"Ok. I'll just work on the garden for a bit today. Those tomatoes are going to be ready in the next few weeks I think." I said sadly.

"Hey, don't worry, we'll be back in no time, come here" Alby said while walking over to me and pulling me into a hug. "We do this so often but it's always just as hard to leave you here all alone." he said hugging me tighter.

Once he let go a gave a hug to Minho then Newt. "Hey, be careful, ok?"

"Yeah, yeah, be careful, don't die we get it. Let's go I'm excited!" Minho said loudly.

We all laughed, and they went over to the door. Off they went.

-Later-

I was just at my spot in the woods when I decided I should probably clean up and go meet the boys. They should be getting here soon.

Yes, I did it again, I was just stressed, and I needed release.

I clean up the blood on my arm and leg. Covering all 3 newt cuts with my hoodie and leggings
