This is kinda a boring chapter, sorry.

-The Next Morning-

-Y/n P.O.V.-

I woke up again. I was all alone in my bed. I didn't feel like getting out of bed, I felt as though I was numb. I was used to not feeling much, but now it was like I couldn't feel a thing.

Even though I felt this way, I knew I had to get up, try and act as though everything was ok, and try and take care of 24 boys. I already failed at saving one of them.

I felt guilty knowing that I was the reason for his death. Josh only died because of me.

There was no other reason for his death. Just my selfishness.

We wont last if we just kill everyone who looks over at me.

A knock at my door pulled me away from my thoughts. I mumbled an 'ok' and in came Newt, two plates of food in his hand.

"Hey", he greeted.

"Hey" I mumble back.

He sits at the foot of my bed and sets both plates down next to him, sliding one over to me and handing me a fork.

I look down to my plate to see two eggs, some mystery meat (I would never eat it if I were you, tried it once, threw it up 20 minutes later), and some sliced apples.

Although I was starving, I didn't feel like eating any of the food in front of me. It seemed sickening and I couldn't think of eating it right now, it would surely make me sick.

"Are you not hungry?" he asks.

I shook my head, not really in the mood for a conversation.

"You should still eat something." He said after a while. "You haven't had much to eat for the last couple weeks. If I'm being honest, I'm a little worried, love." He confessed.

"I'm fine Newt, don't worry. Just feel a little nauseous today, that's all." I replied truthfully, my eyes focused on my fingers playing with a piece of my bedsheets

He looked at me for a moment, pondering what to say next. "Are you ok, love?" he asked.

-Newt's P.O.V.-

I decided to go see how y/n was doing this morning, but from the looks of it, it wasn't very well.

She looked distant, and she didn't eat anything.

She said she was just nauseous, but I knew there was something different.

I could feel it.

"Are you ok, love?" I asked her.

She just continued starring at her fingers blankly. She didn't respond, I don't even know if she heard me.

"Love?" I asked again.

She hummed quietly in response.

"You ok?" I questioned once more.

She mumbled a quick 'yes' before taking a deep breath.

She pulled off the covers from her legs and got out of her bed.

She walked over to her bathroom and closed her door, once I heard the toilet flush, I heard her wash her hands and the door open. She got some new clothes and went back into the bathroom to change.

While she changed, I finished up my breakfast.

y/n came back out changed into some leggings and a t-shirt she grabbed a hoodie to cover her arms up again.
