Niki and Steve

(Early in the morning at Mombot's)

(Eggman and Steve sit on the couch facing each other)

Eggman: (to Steve) So, I need to tell you about a newcomer to the team. And I mean well, not new, new, but like fairly new.

Steve: (leans back and crosses arms) Alright then. Tell me about them brosive.

Eggman: Their name is Niki. Sonic's little sister.

Steve: (drugged shock) Sonic has a little sister? Woah.

Eggman: (blunt) I know. It was a surprise to me as it was Sonic. (Prancy) Any who, so this little sister not only has his speed, but also remarkable intelligence. (Not so prancy) A little while ago I found out that Niki also hung out with Shadow.

Steve: (fingers under chin also voice gradually rises) So, you're saying that if we can get Niki, we can get Sonic and then that'll cause the whole team to fall apart!

Eggman: Exactly! But how to get her?

Steve: Well since you mentioned of her hanging with Shadow, maybe I could be him and we can lure her into a trap.

Eggman: (uneasy) The plan sounds easy enough, but the one issue we're dealing with is the whole personality swap.

(Steve raises an eyebrow in confusion)

Eggman: Shadow's a whole different ball game when it comes to him and Niki (blunt) and with Maria.

Steve: Wait... I thought your cousin was dead?

Eggman: Yeah, turns out not. Anyway, Shadow seems less... (Shrugs shoulders).. edgy around them both.

Steve: Alright. I think I can do this.

Mombot: (clamps robotic hands against metallic cheek) Awe! Look at my two boys getting together.

Both: (blunt) Yes mombot.

Eggman: Now let's get plan rollin.

(The next day)

(At Shadow's place)

Niki: (leaning against the opposing wall) So, I figured you and I could go on a little walk tomorrow, that's if Maria seems busy with the girls.

Shadow: Only one way to find out.

Niki: (raises eyebrow) Go where she is currently?

(Shadow nods with a smile)

Niki: I'll be here, unless you want me to tag?

Shadow: I'll be in and out. You stay put.

Niki: (two finger gesture) Yes sir.

(Shadow teleports away and 3 minutes later he is back)

Niki: (tilts head) So?

Shadow: I can't.

Niki: (sad) Awe...

Shadow: (gives a slight smile) Hey, I might be able to pop in for a hello at least.

Niki: (looks down and puffs cheek) Fine.

(The next day)

(Niki is walking about the village)

(Meanwhile, Eggman and Steve are behind a tree that's very close to Niki)

Eggman: Okay just remember, be nice, but not overly nice. And just remember to make a lie.

(Steve salutes and then transforms into Shadow. He then walks over to Niki and starts up a conversation)
