Undiscovered Reality

(During the daytime at school)

(During recess, the group is at their usual table)

(Everyone is chatting happily until Niki catches a faint whisper in her ears)

Niki: (stands up and to the group) Hey, I'm gonna go.

Hanna: Where are you going?

Niki: I think Mephiles is up to something.

Hanna: Can't you give it a rest, Niki? You've been at this guy none stop since that incident that had happened a while ago.

Niki: (looks down) Unfortunately, I can't let it get passed me. (Proceeds to dart off)

(The group follows the light pattern)

Hanna: What are we gonna do with her?

Jeffery: Your guess is as good as mine.

Hanna: YOU'RE HER BOYFRIEND! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO KNOW MORE THAN US! (proceeds to bop Jeffery on the head repeatedly)

Jeffery: (trying to cover from the bops with a smile) And you have been her friend for how long?!

(The scene slowly changes to the forest)

Niki casually walks through the forest to find Mephiles doing his usual lounge around against a tree on a branch but this time, he has a little flower in his hand)

Niki: (crosses arms) Okay Mephiles, what's your game?

Mephiles: (looks at a flower) Have you wondered what makes a flower wither?

Niki: (eye brow raised) What kind of question is that? It's from them not getting the nutrients they nee-

Mephiles: So direct with your answers. There's more than one answer to everything.

Niki: (hand on hip and blunt) Okay, what are you doing?

Mephiles: Have you ever wondered where your powers came from?

Niki: You've asked me this question more than once and I keep telling you the- (realizes and crossed arms) You want to give me a different answer.

Mephiles: (looks to Niki) It only takes one flower to make more.

(Niki rolls her eyes at the response)

Niki: (sarcastically) How did I get my powers that you gave me?

Mephiles: Now you speak the real question.

Niki: (confused) What?

Mephiles: Have you wondered any other things?

Niki: (irritated) Many things... Like what are you really, what are your real intentions, what-

Mephiles: Repeat that last one.

Niki: (eye brow raised) What are your real intentions?

Mephiles: (tosses flower aside and hangs upside down) Nothing.

Niki: (raises eye brow) What? (Chuckles in disbelief) I'm sorry, you have nothing? Every bad guy has to have intention and what their plan is. (Crosses arms and comes back from the laugh) So I would appreciate it if you would just tell me what your plan is.

Mephiles: (tilts head) I speak nothing but the truth. (Sits up) My correlation with you was out of boredom... (Lies upside down again) and spite...

Niki: (starts to worry) What about you wanting to use me to get to Iblis?
