(In Sonic's dimension)
(A deep voice is revealed as a monologue is done)
Random voice: Hero's and Villains, what a tale the whole world likes telling. There are bad guys and good guys, however, not every bad guy stays a bad guy. Since I was a young pup, I've stolen and killed, became an assassin, a mercenary. I was granted abilities like no other by a doctor, that fate quickly lied me in a trapped state of mind as well a trapped body. I no longer have that ruby nonsense. So what I do I plan on doing from here? Relaxing... No hero's... No villains... Just me...
(The screen derives from the sky down into the thickest parts of the forest where we see a very familiar Jackal with a mask leaning up against a tree with eyes closed. And the mask does not have the voice modification so his voice is normal....for now)
(Infinite hears some rustling in the trees and opens his eyes with caution)
Infinite: (has a shuriken ready) Who's there?
(A recognizable mist approaches the base of a tree in front of Infinite. Infinite sees the mist and strikes at it with the shuriken. Mephiles disperses and in an all loud whisper that echoes the forest)
Mephiles: I'm a friend not foe.
Infinite: (with caution) Who are you?
Mephiles: You may call me Mephiles.
Infinite: Show yourself!
(The mist of Mephiles collides giving him his Shadow versed form)
Mephiles: I promise I'm not him or have any means with him.
Infinite: I've learned to be over my past, (under breath) even if some of it still haunts me.
Mephiles: You are a truly grown individual. Not a lot are mature enough to get rid of their past and renew a fresh start. However with a new start, (gets close and sinister) With those images that still haunt you will forever be trapped till something is done about it.
Infinite: (walkes past Mephiles) Assuming you are a bad guy of some kind. I refuse to be apart of your schemes as well as the doctors.
Mephiles: But doesn't revenge still strive at your core? (Turns to his mist form to follow Infinite around) Don't you want to right those who did you wrong....Zero?
Infinite: (tries to claw Mephiles) How do you...-?!
Mephiles: (solidifies and walks around Infinite till he is directly behind him and whispers in his ear) Know your real name? Oh Infinite, I know many things regarding people and the whole world. I know how it ends... And you can be part of this masterpiece, if you aid me...
Infinite: (wide eyes turns to frustration and swipes at Mephiles again) No! I refuse to be a part of your circus. I want nothing to do with you villains or heros! (walks away from Mephiles) All I want is relaxation, not to be part in your games!
Mephiles: (starting to turn flustered, races after him) But I can give you anything that you wish for.
Infinite: (still walking away) I wish to be left alone!
Mephiles: (further getting flustered and again chases after him in mist form) How about this, you help me and then you can have your wish. All I ask is one small favor.
Infinite: (sighs and sways hand like wafting smoke at Mephiles) As I've said before, I'm not interested. (Continues to walk away)
(At this point Mephiles is irritated to the point of his eye twitching and once again flies in front of Infinite stopping in him in his tracks)
