QUESTIONS / MGA TANONG

1. How did you adjust your writing in your stories, may naapektuhan ba because of work/acads and life?

Nung nag-start kasi ako sa pagsusulat, college student pa lang ako noon. So basically, I've got a lot of time in my hands kaya mas nakakapagsulat ako during that time. Right now, since I'm working full time plus may iba pa akong pinagkakaabalahan, it's a bit challenging for me to write regularly. I would have a lot of ideas or thoughts pero hindi ko naman maisulat agad. It's kinda difficult pero hopefully, I could still continue writing my pending stories.

2. What do you prefer to write: Series or Standalone stories? Why?

For me, it's a lot easier to work on stand alones. Kasi minsan, may tendency na nagiging pilit na yung series lalo na if you really want the stories to be connected all throughout talaga. Pero who am I kidding? Gawa pa rin naman ako nang gawa ng series. Hahaha.

3. How do you motivate yourself to keep writing?

Sa totoo lang, madalas, I tend to be negative kapag nagsusulat ako. I easily get down kapag feeling ko walang nagbabasa sa sinusulat ko. Kaso when I have these negative thoughts, bigla ko ring maiisip, I started with nothing din naman e. Sinubukan ko lang naman na magsulat for fun so why not continue doing it for that same reason?

4. Among your stories, what particular scene is difficult for you to write?

Real talk lang tayo, struggle talaga sa akin kapag may mga love scene. Haha. Minsan kasi, may part na kailangan ko siyang ilagay pero dahil struggle siya for me, I tend to write it in a fade-to-black manner na lang. I really can't write detailed ones.

5. Saan kayo mas nacha-challenge sa pagbuo ng first chapter o sa epilogue?

Definitely the epilogue. Kasi for someone like me who writes whatever I want at hindi gumagawa ng outline at all, ang hirap gumawa ng way para makarating sa epilogue. And epilogue din ang magde-determine kung okay na talaga yung story or masusundan pa ba 'yon ng sequel or not.

6. If you can bring one of your characters to life, who will it be and why?

Kat from Moving Into My Brother's House. Sasabunutan ko lang dahil masyadong pabebe. Charot. Hahaha. Pero seryoso, I want her to enjoy life and not to think too much about unnecessary stuff. She's in her teens pa so she should be having fun and exploring things para mas mag-grow pa siya at mas matuto in life.

7. Among your characters, who's the closest to you? Why?

Georgina from Moving Into My Ex's House. Marami nang nagsabi na kaugali ko siya and that they see a lot of similarities sa aming dalawa.

8. If you could collaborate with any author (local man or international), who would it be and why?

Mangangarap na rin lang ako, so go big na. I choose Rick Riordan! I really want to try writing fantasy stories and I super duper love his books. It would really be awesome to try collaborating with him. I'm sure that I would learn a lot from him kung sakali.

9. Anong famous story (be it classic or contemporary Literature) ang hinihiling mong ikaw ang nakapagsulat? Bakit?

Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight? I mean I've always wanted to write a story na may kinalaman sa travel (ito sa airport nangyari) since I took up Tourism in college. Tipong magamit man lang yung natutunan noon sa school. I tried actually pero I faced a major roadblock sa story kaya I had no choice but to unpublish it muna. Medyo ang gulo na rin kasi ng takbo from how I imagined it when I was planning about it pa lang.

10. What are your future plans in your writing career?

I have a lot of drafts right now so writing and finishing those would definitely be at the top of the list. I also want to publish another book in the future (mapa-self pub man or trad pub). I also want to explore other genres someday, pero siyempre, plano lang muna. Mahirap sumabak nang sumabak sa bagong stories baka di ko na naman mapanindigan.

Maraming maraming salamat po sa patuloy na pagsuporta niyo sa akin over the years. I know I don't update regularly, I tend to write bitin stories and chapters and I'm not the best writer out there pero thank you for still giving my stories a try.
