CHAPTER 40|SWEET CHILD O MINE

-TIME SKIP-
I essentially get dragged from the spell by sabrina, we had finally gotten Robin back, but a new issue was on our case

I was now sat in a room, along with Sabrina, Nick, prudence and Ambrose

"First of all, and in no way am I trying to knock the fright club as a band"
So she is trying to knock the fright club as a band

"But, competing against a hell-bound heavy metal group like satanic panic" I hear Sabrina trail off, followed by a laugh from prudence

"They would be lambs to the slaughter"

I stay sat in my seat, listening to their plan, to be honest I zoned out slightly, until I hear Sabrina speak
"But we need to move, fast"

-TIME SKIP-

"Sabrina I don't think is a good idea" i looked at the clothes Sabrina threw at me, a white latex dress and high heels, as well as feathered costume wings protruding out of the dress

"It's a perfect idea, we don't have much time whilst we plan this" I looked over to the circle Sabrina had prepared, for a little pep in fright clubs step, and to resurrect penny

I had expected this part of the plan, but what I hadn't expected was to be part of a band itself

"This is just an extra precaution, making sure we get Harvey's dad back
And it'll be fun"

I squint my eyes at her as she goes and gets ready, I walk away from the room as I go get changed and ready

-TIME SKIP-
It was done

My hair was in space buns, strands messily poking out as well as an eccentric eyeliner look and lips, my dress fitted tight on me, and the heels were a perfect fit

To be honest, I looked hot

I walked out of the room, ready to meet the rest of our 'band'

Until I feel a heat and bright light behind me

I cringed slightly, forcing myself to turn and look at caliban, a wide grin on his lips

"Well well well angel, and what are you wearing?" I rolled my eyes at him, pushing him back in the room

"Caliban, what are you doing here?" My voice was stern, mostly from being embarrassed at this whole ordeal, but he seemed to be enjoying it

"I heard from Lucifer of a little event occurring, and I was going to ask if you wanted to see it my angel,

But by the looks of it, you're doing more than just that"

I feel my face heat at his words "you're not coming to the battle of the bands, you'll be distracting" I fold my arms looking at him, he cocks his brow, leaning slightly so that I was face to face with him

"Distracting? Do I distract you angel?" I widen my eyes as I try to avoid making eye contact with him, but he grabs my face

"Look at me, Eden" I look up at him, seeing his eyes intently looking into my own, I let out a shuddered sigh as he looked down to my lips

He doesn't wait to kiss me
I pull him closer, trying to deepen the kiss, wanting it to last a little longer, but he doesn't allow it, he parts and he kisses my forehead

"Good luck out there, angel"
And with that he disappears

-TIME SKIP-
"The battles not over, lucifer" I hear Sabrina speak, interrupting the reveal on who's the winner

"You never give up, do you?" Lucifer looks at her, I see a smirk forming on sabrinas face

"Never"

A sneer forms on lucifers face, before addressing the crowd once more
"very well, we have one final band, a latecomer, I give you"

I interrupt him, taking the mic
"We are, the Dark Mothers, so get ready to lose your shit!"

The crowd goes wild as we start up, a shaky breath is let out as I see Sabrina ready her bass guitar

Never really knew any of us could play instruments, but here we are

I look at the crowd, grinning wildly as I start to sing
"She's got a smile that it seems to me"
"Reminds me of childhood memories"
The crowd starts dancing, I start to move to the music as I see a familiar face in the crowd

Caliban
He was in the back, and I could barely see him, but it was also caliban, so no matter where I looked I'd see him

I made eye contact with him as I sung
"Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky"
"Now and then when I see her face, she takes me away to that special place"
"And If I stare too long I'd probably break down and cry"
I swing my hips slightly, jamming to the beat that Nick was playing as he starts to sing with me
"Oh, oh, oh, oh, sweet child o' mine"
I face Nick, as we sing together so lost in the music that I had practically forgotten we had a crowd
"Ooh, oh, oh, sweet love of mine"

I continued to sing, I had never felt more free than being up on the stage, in front of a crowd just dancing however I felt
"She's got eyes of the bluest skies, as if they thought of rain"
"I'd hate the look into those eyes, and see an ounce of pain"

As if on cue I saw someone walk through the door,
A girl, in a prom dress
I smiled as I looked at Sabrina
Penny

"Her hair reminds me of a warm, safe place"
"Where as a child I'd hide"
"And pray for the thunder and the rain to quietly pass me by"
"Oh, whoa whoa sweet child o mine"
I watched as penny started to dance, I copied her moves dancing with her
