CHAPTER 17|WIFE

I look at her in shock as I realise what she meant, a thousand thoughts racing through my mind

She speaks first again "and have you remained unconsummated for him?" I stand up quickly as I realise what she means, worry coursing through me

"Listen, I don't know what you want-" she cuts me off again by

Sniffing me? What is her issue?

She speaks again "you did, but you are trying not to aren't you?" She leans closer to me and I freeze

"I smell that boy on you, all the times you've laid together but not done anything, I smell it"

Is she talking about caliban?

She steps back and I freeze, still unsure of what is happening, I can only watch in fear as she calls someone over

"Circe! Come here"

I watch the woman what I now know to be Circe leave hilda and turn to nagaina

I watch her whisper something to her and Circe widens her eyes, she quickly grabs my hand and I look at her trying to tug away, she says nothing but I feel something in the back of my mind

Let anything resembling men harm this soul, at the single touch she takes her toll

They let me go and walk away, scared I go to sabrina

"Sabrina, they need to leave"

TIME SKIP~

After several affairs of snake bites, death and moon pies it finally turns to night I sit in the middle of all the witches as I look at the moon

The moon

I watch hilda make a few words and watch the whole coven glow blue, delight fills me as I see them excited

It's working

The excitement doesn't last for long however as I see the moon start to darken, I look up to hilda rapidly as she looks in fear, I hear Zelda mutter and she stands up

"The pagans"

I get up too collecting our things as hilda announces for us to leave quick, I slump in disappointment for what this means for the coven

We make our way back as we all sit down and talk, it doesn't last for long however when I hear a girl whimper and come towards us

"Sister spellman, they're outside"

We begin to walk to the entrance and already see the carnival/pagan/whatever people outside

The man from before steps forward and makes an announcement

"Witches of night, your time is over, the old gods are returning, the old ways, the blood ways are coming back"

He glances at me as I step back "bow and pray to our gods, and give us the green mans wife, or your blood will be used to water the sacred earth, you have three days to decide" we watch as they disappear and hear a haunting giggling left behind

The sisters

One frozen and one seemingly completely mad, we take them inside as we all sit down and ponder their proposal

They all look at eachother before Zelda speaks up "damn pagans, we have no choice, we must free the dark lord to regain our powers"

Hilda perks up "but they mentioned a wife, as if we have her, is- is that Lilith?"

I take a step forward and speak "they mean me" and I watch as they all look at me in confusion

I hum as I plant my trees, preparing the garden

I watch as Lilith and Adam make their way in and I greet them

The first humans

I watch them for the first week and I grow sad

And jealous

Why could they have eachother but I must be alone?

I look at the ground as I make more trees and I think

After some time I saw eve arrive

I pick up some twigs and bushes as I make a face from the fallen leaves

I smile as I stroke it, watching it come to life

The first angel made being

I grab his hand as we go explore my garden

Suddenly, he stops

I look at my beautiful green man as he looks at his hands, and I grab them softly and hold them

Unexpectedly, he grabs them back with full force, breaking my hands and I scream

He cuts me down as I bleed out and I watch my garden overgrow

I scream out to eve

"Eat the apple"

I don't know what happened to him but I saw the garden break down, and I cried

My green man was gone

Or so I had thought

God knew pieces, he always knew things, but not to my extent

He couldn't get rid of me, I was his first female angel, a bringer of peace

He loved me

So he had heard of other gods pretending to be human, he gave me a second chance to repent as I went to expect the gods

I watch as I am in a carnival, looking at the gods lying to their customers

I wearing clothing to fit the timeline, so I wasn't too out of the ordinary

Time had past since my green man

I feel a tap on my shoulder as I turn around

"So that's why their here? To resurrect the green man?" I hear Zelda and I nod

"I've only seen him twice, I was scared God would take him away, I loved him, so I had eve eat the apple and he escaped"

"The second time, was at a carnival, that's where I guess he found all the pagans, and now we're here"

I wince as the whole coven looks at me, the first time anyone had knows the truth of the garden

It wasn't liliths fault, it wasn't eve or adams

It was mine

"And in doing so you created an accidental god that wants the world to be, what? Your garden?"

I nod "I didn't know I had that power"

Finally sabrina stands up "it doesn't matter, what matters is that it's here now, they want Eden right? So we just don't give them her"

I look at sabrina and cry, even after everything I had done she still didn't care, I did something even god himself wouldn't forgive

But she forgave me

Sabrina looks up "so, do we have any other plans besides my crazy father?"
