CHAPTER 23|PURPOSE

We make our way back home as Zelda goes to find hilda, it's silent for a bit until sabrina speaks up

"You two suit eachother" I look at her and retort

"A demon and an angel? Very fitting"

We laugh slightly before it dies down in silence, it stays that way for a few seconds until I speak again

"Are you mad at me?"

She turns her head at me in surprise "what? No definitely not, just, worried for what this means for the throne"

I look at her and stop

"I won't help him, if that's what you're asking, that's cheating"

She stands in silence for a minute

So she does think that

I speak again and I start walking "I would never, I am here to help you"

As I say that I halt to a spot

I'm here to help her

I look at her, my mouth open in shock as I realise

She looks at me in confusion "are you ok"

I smile as tears fall down my face "I'm here to help you" I run and hug her laughing "of course"

She looks at me in confusion

And then it clicks

"No way"

"Yes way"

We laugh and hug tighter

My purpose

We finally make our way home, the new info we have received bring light to the situations ahead, roz is human again, we have new friends of fright club, and one less pagan to worry about, things are looking good

We come into the house and something seems... off, I look to Zelda as she's at the table and back to Sabrina, the same look of confusion on her face

-TIME SKIP-

"I wish I'd known about aunt hilda, I could've brought her to circe without you having to... kill her" I grimace at sabrinas words, and at how casual she says it

Zelda goes on for a bit to Sabrina, before bringing up aunt Hilda again 'and when holds rises from the Cain pit she'll be her old self again'

I laugh at this "I now see why Christians dislike you" and I look down before speaking again "the whole 'bringing back someone to life' casually thing, it's cool but definitely not normal" I finish and smile, we're all tired from the days events, and a bit weary

I make my way up with Sabrina and I see a couple things in her room

There seemed to be two candles stuck together by a single wick, with several other candles and items around it

I told my head and overhear sabrina talking to Salem as she sits down

"No, Salem, I have to do this for my own good

Prudence said to carve my name on this one, nicks on the other, then I just burn the wick and all my geekiness for him are gone

Cords cut"

I Sigh in pity over this, that Nick did was awful, but to go this far? I watch as she burns her candle and I make my way to my own separate room

Cords cut?

I ponder for a bit before shaking my head

No, I'm not a witch

But...

I groan as I look through my room, sabrina gave me a couple trinkets and thinks to use, and I notice a similar candle as she used before

I sit on the bed and place the candles down, starting to carve my name on one

G R E E N M A N

I carve it in, worry filling at each letter, would this even work? What would happen? I sigh in frustration as I find myself a match

I'll never know if I don't try

I light the candle between it, watching it burn quickly, my side of the candle for seeming to almost melt away, the other nearly staying unchanged

I felt a little lighter, and I sigh before I make my way to the mirror to inspect my hair

My hair had already grown more white at the realization of earliers events, so the complete underside of my hair had officially turned white

I go to turn back until I see something catch my eye

Just one strand, by where my red hair starts white ends, there was a thin strand of something else

Black?

I widen my eyes as I look at it more, I wouldn't have seen it I'd I hadn't turned my eye, or if this wasn't my hair

What does it mean?

I gulp as I let my hair fall back down again, making my way to the bed, giving myself too much of a headache about this scenario

I try to make my way to sleep, peace starting to overcome me before I hear something

BANG

I jolt out of the bed and run downstairs, seeing Sabrina not long ahead of me

I nearly scream as I look down to the source of the noise, and only see Zelda laying on the floor with blood around her

We make her way towards her as Ambrose comes to expect

"Stay with her. We need help" I look at Ambrose as he teleports away and can only hear sabrinas whimpers of hope

I tear up and try to watch zeldas pulse, shaking with nerves

I may not be part of the family, but she made me feel important here

I see Ambrose come back with a woman of the coven

Everything blurs as mambo Marie and Ambrose make their way downstairs, I check outside whilst they discuss to make sure everything is safe, cool air spreading on my face

I go to turn before I hear a loud wailing outside, I whip my head to see a strange woman wearing black screaming

I didn't know what it was but I could tell it wasn't good

I feel Ambrose Sabrina and prudence come up behind me, hearing the same thing I did, and I only hear one word mutter out of ambroses mouth

"Banshee"
