CHAPTER 13|HUG

I sigh when I realised I was being teleported to hell, along with Sabrina, several demons chanting Caliban's name, I notice he has the crown on his head, and he walks towards me, grabbing my hand and kisses it

"What does my angel think?"

I look at him in only pain "we could've died caliban, why didn't you save us" he didn't look me in the eye and instead turned to sabrina

"I assumed you would kill him, or he would kill you, or you would kill eachother" I look at him in disgust, several emotions going through me at once

I like him, but he's a dickhead

He turns back to me and holds me close "you didn't answer my question, the crown suits me, don't you agree?" I go to push him away but he holds my wrist, before any tension could arise sabrina thankfully cuts in

"Enjoy it, it'll be the last one you win" finally caliban let's me go and walks up to sabrina

She looks at him keeping her head high "and I swear, I'll slice your throat ear by ear before I let you claim the throne"

I stare at her in awe as I hear the demons chant

"Sabrina"
"Sabrina"

Sabrina

SHORT TIME SKIP~

"Eden, ready to go?" I look at her for a second

"Not yet, I want to stay for a while, catch up with Lilith and...others" I glance at asmodeus and he bows his head slightly

"Caliban will take me home, or Lilith if worst comes to worse"sabrina only looks at me weirdly before shrugging and going back home, slowly but surely the court disperses and Lilith gets back to her work

I look to asmodeus "come with me. Now"

Asmodeus only looks scared as I drag him to a private room, and I stare at him

"How did he find us? Are you helping him?" I fold my arms as I look up to him, asmodeus frowns slightly and I continue to glare at him

"I needed to, for him to win" he says honestly, I think for a minute

"You cheated" Asmodeus sighs and looks at me again

"I needed to, this is a competition-"

I cut him off "but you didn't have to cheat, or tell him to leave for dead, at this point I dont care who wins but have you no honour?"

He bows his head in shame before speaking "I apologize, Eden"

I look at him in surprise and feel slightly overwhelmed, all I could do was hug him, he freezes for a second before wrapping his hands around me, his chin resting on my head, and we just stay there for a second

"I miss you asmodeus, but please don't tell him to do that" i sniffle slightly and asmodeus seems to catch on

"You like him, don't you?" I nod slightly and bury my face into him for longer, remembering my good angel friend who admittedly was the closest thing to a brother I had

The only person I trusted up there

I don't know how long I had stayed there but I just cried more, emotions breaking out of me

"Asmodeus, what's wrong with me?"

"Why do I feel this way about God?"

Asmodeus sighs and he rubs my back "you have free will my dear, you're realising you can do what you want and I promise he's not happy about it, neither would the dark lord"

"And the other things I'm feeling?"

"That's love my dear, I know you haven't felt that for a long time"

"Why did he have to hurt me asmodeus? The green man?"

I thought I created him for good

CALIBANS POV~

I grimace as I see them hug, pain overcoming me and I walk away

Eden and asmodeus? When had they even met?

I couldn't even believe it and yet I had just watched it myself, so many questions filling me head, I storm out pandemonium back to the beach and I kneel down

I look at them for a second and notice something

I grin sadly as I pick it up, holding it gently and seeing it in all its beauty, not losing any perfection even though I had taken it from its ground

I look at it for a second and hold it close, making the realisation I hadn't been willing to make for a while

I like her

EDENS POV~

I realise how long I had been and let go of asmodeus

"Thank you, my friend"

he looks at me and frowns

"I can't stay here, your 'prince' has got a competition to win and I have to help my friend try and beat him" I stand up as he lightly grabs my hand

"Eden, don't leave please, I've been waiting for you"

I look at him sadly, my brother and I finally rejoiced after a rebellion of an eternity

"Sabrina is my friend, as are you, and I want her to win if I am to stay here and see her win as much as I'd want caliban to win, it will bring chaos to us all, and I want it to be fair, he would kill me he said it myself" I let my hand free as I walk away from him, entering the main room

I see Lilith spread across a seat looking at me

"Had fun with the king did we?" I roll my eyes and look at her

"There's no sabotage, if that's what you're thinking, he's an old friend and I've been missing him forever, besides, you know me Lilith I wouldn't, especially not for a man" I look away from her and down

She knows what I mean

She walks up and strokes me arm, a very motherly sentiment from Lilith

"I know, I'm sorry, I never got to give you my condolence after what happened to you, it was unfair, you were there for me"

I was there for her

"That's why I was speaking to him, actually, you're one of many who know, but one of few who would sympathize for me, it's my fault and they made sure I knew" I hug Lilith back, and she only says a few words

"It wasn't your fault"
