CHAPTER 6|PRINCE

Before I had a chance for another remark, Lilith cuts in

"Dear prince and angel do you think that you could hold your need to be close to eachother for two seconds" I look and I hadn't even noticed my hand was on his chest, I quickly let go and walk back to Lilith, not looking back

CALIBAN'S POV~

I keep my calm as I am aware of how close the angel- no, Eden- is to me, what is this emotion I'm feeling

Anger? Annoyance? No
Nervousness?

Thankfully we are interrupted by Lilith making a remark, but a wash of sadness overcomes me as she lets go and moves away, she continues to the throne not looking back at me as she speaks again

"Asmodeus, I need to speak to you"

Asmodeus? Why does she need him?

I furrow my brow in confusion and look to him and he nods and goes

I watch as they leave

EDENS POV~

I watch as he follows me to a separate room and I cross my arms, he looks at me and looks down

"Eden..."

I cut him off, looking at him for a moment

"Why didn't you tell them?" Was all I asked him, he looked away from me and stayed silent for a second

"Well?"

He stayed quiet for a second before replying "I wasn't sure it was you or not"

I rolled my eyes at him "you knew it was me, if it wasn't you would've said without hesitation, I know you asmodeus, or knew you at least" I looked at him, his face burnt and scarred and horns protruding his head, i could barely recognise him

But it was him

He sighs and continues "I wanted to ask for yourself why you were fallen, rather than embarrass you in front of everyone"

I smile at him "you still care, my old friend" I laugh and hug him as he seems repulsed by me

"Let's get back before we are missed"

As if on queue I walk in and see sabrina in hell, more importantly

Without a soul?

The princes of hell start to hiss and boo, asmodeus goes further and makes remarks

"Shame!"
"Heresy!"

Lilith chimes in and looks to sabrina "you really are the worst" i fast walk to sabrina and look at her confused

"What happened?"

She looked at me and sighed "it's a long story"

The rest of the demons started yelling again before Lilith thankfully interrupted

"My kings, my kings, I am not surprised you are angry"

I chime in before to settle the tension "may i as courtier, simply suggest that this was a simple lack of judgement, it's her first time you can't possible expect-" I am cut of by caliban walking up

"I would like the Morningstar to speak for herself" purposefully standing right next to me as he looked to sabrina

Seriously does he never wear a shirt?

I nearly topple slightly before caliban holds me back up, but I still refuse to move

"Well, in the moment, I felt the man who sold his soul was not worthy of damnation so I showed him mercy, and sent him to heaven" I perk up at the words

Heaven

Perhaps Lilith was right, maybe God would've tried to drag me up with the man, my thoughts are taken back by the groaning and hissing of the court

Beezlebub makes a comment "she makes a mockery of our prerogatives, let prince caliban collect the next soul, he'll prove worthy" and the court begins to talk in agreement

Caliban turns to face me instead "I would relish such a task" and he lowers his head to look at me "but does the courtier charge me so? And my lady?"

Lilith looked at him and groaned "she does not, Rome wasn't burnt in a day, sabrina still has another soul to collect, and if I'm not mistaken it's Jimmy Platt, she'll get it right this time"

TIME SKIP~

We are brought out of hell and Sabrina rushes to what I know to be Harvey's house, we walk in to see them singing

Harvey has a nice singing voice

I shake my head as Sabrina panics and says "guys, emergency fright club meeting" and we all crouch together on the floor

She opens her book of damned souls and points to the name we learnt earlier Jimmy Platt

The trio look astounded as sabrina pointed at the name "jimmy platt"

"The ice cream guy?"

"I know, crazy right? The worst part is I don't know what he did" Sabrina slumps back

I look at her and sigh "guess we're going to have to solve it case by case" I tie my hair up and notice

Another strand? White?

I furrow my brow and I ignore it, comparing it to my now dark auburn hair

"You could use him to help nick though, if Jimmy deserves to die" and Sabrina looks at me and smiles

"That's what I'm thinking"

TIME SKIP~

"This is nuts" Harvey mutters

"We're meant to be worried about midterms not dragging the ice cream guy to hell"

I roll my eyes at him "Harvey, your best friend is a half witch and queen of hell, I'm an angel and your girlfriend can see the future, you sure this is that nuts?" Before I am pulled back by Theo to the floor

"Theo, you did not just pull the angel to the floor" I hear Roz say before I quickly pop my head up "I'm ok!" I groan

We watch as Sabrina talks to the guy for a couple minutes, seemingly annoyed as she walks back, Jimmy still very much alive

Sabrina gets into the car and we all look at her "well, I think he's still moving from what I can see, or does dragging souls to hell have a delay?" I sarcastically remark

She sighs "he tried to offer me a child, like he'd done it before"

"Guys, we have an issue"
